The memories. I watched this in the arena. The camera audio doesn’t give justice to the scream. That scream was ear piercing and echoed through the whole arena. Fantastic show.

The girls scream at the end gives me chills every time. And why did nobody cheer for the cymbal flip by the middle cymbal at 6:50 ? That shit was POPPIN’
I think it could have been in a much better spot, there was a lot going on.

@TheMoorester TheHaggette Victor is doing "Smile" this year, which is a lot different than this. Unless they're doing it next year, which would surprise me. Being from Webster's indoor percussion ensemble, I would be pretty dissapointed if they decided to copy another show, only 2 years after its showing. BTW, if you are a part of Victor, I would like to tell you that your show this year is phenomenal, and I really appreciate the work you guys put in. I hope you make it to finals this year like you did last year.
I stand corrected as I saw Victor performe today and uh yup, You guys did fucking fantastic with your variation of this show. I don't actually know whether you're in the ensemble, but if you are, I really hope you guys can beat east syracuse, like your show is so much better and way more clean. Good luck next week in finals!

5 years later, and when I'm asked what my favorite drumline show is, this is still my immediate answer. This show is a masterpiece. Love you Pulse!
Only one I've seen that compared to it even slightly was "nightmare at 20k feet" THAT was a wild show.

I'm really confused as to why Pulse didn't get first. This show is actually perfect in every way, shape, and form.

Drumline.Asian l MuseScore Compositions MCM took a bigger risk and performed a cleaner show. Not that this show is bad or anything. That's just what it came down to.
Well, mcm's show was much cleaner and just better in general. But pulse should have gotten 2nd instead of broken city
Stupid late to this, but MCM took an extreme amount of risks and nailed everything visually, while Broken City cleaned the hell out of their book.
5:45 is probably my favorite closer from any indoor or outdoor show ever

In person It was amazing! My line went to compete there and we got to see them, and it is so much better in person. The recording "conveniently" didn't pick up on a blood curdling scream that I heard easily from one of the back rows. That was probably my favorite moment in the show (sans quads solo).

In my opinion, Rise Percussion's show in 2017 was really good, too.

I love this show so much from the music to the moments to the part where the snares are featured and how perfectly it meshes with the pit, and the whole ending sequence from when the dad is possessed and then the slow creepy music to the daughter gets pulled under. Just one of the best shows by far. Always have and always will be a fan of Pule Percussion.
I can't help but grin everytime the show ends. Great closer

This is one of the only shows I’ll watch over and over again
I have never seen such a captivating show, I have watched it dozens of times, everything is perfect from the beginning to the end, the unfolding of the script is just amazing, there is no fault of taste, and the end is just amazing, we still want others as well written!
I'm always coming back to this show.

I made it a priority to see this show all 3 times in Dayton. At prelims, they were one of the only groups to get a standing ovation from the crowd. It was nuts.
By far my favorite performance, glad i got to see it in person. Still coming back to this video to watch years later.

there has never been a wgi show like this ever IMO. These set up a play set it feels like and told an amazing story through music and dance. this is easily one of my top 5 shows ever

Rewatching in 2022, still just as good as when they first performed it. A true gem in this activity regardless of their finals score.

Is no one talking about how perfect the cymbal feature is??? I played cymbals for a year in my winter percussion for my senior year of high school and it ain’t easy to hold those things without shaking sometimes

This is my all time favorite show. I march snare but for some reason everytime I watch this that cymbal solo catches my attention and, just holy crap. I love that cymbal solo

This was a great show! I have been around WGI for a long time and this was one of the most entertaining. I didn't see any live shows this year, but I am surprised the Mystique pull out the win against this show. I feel like the book is much more difficult for this show and whole performance is fun and energetic. But I can't say for sure since I never saw them live!
Chase Daily from the stands, the music for pulse was better than MCM, but MCM definitely had them in GE and visual. MCM did some things that had never even been attempted on the floor and they pulled it off very well. Not to mention that the judges usually don’t give points for a harder book, it’s mostly about execution. This was my favorite show of the season, but I can’t say that MCM’s accomplishment wasn’t well deserved, because it was.
I just found out that the mom performer was a tech at my school lmao she marched with the blue devils and blue coats too !!!
