I hate when Americans go to Haïti and don't even understand the language or the culture, I don't care if she is of Haïtian descent. This is not French we're speaking, blan is not JUST the color "white", blan means foreigner in Kreyòl. An African-American, an Asian, a Mexican are all "blan yo." We know you're color already.
that's not true blan means white. If you are light-skinned, they might call u blan as well, but they know ur not white, they know the difference. African-American are not considered as blan
That has not been our experience. That's true that people with white or light skin are called "blan", but from what we have gathered, "blan" is frequently used to refer to a foreigner (i.e. non-Haitian). If you are black, Haitians assume you are also Haitian. A lot of Haitians we meet who have never been to the US don't know that there are African-Americans--they assume that all black Americans are Haitians. But if they know you are a foreigner you are still called "blan" sometimes.
I am Haitian and I lived in Haiti and I never heard any Haitian call a black foreigner blan. But oh well, I cannot say ur lying if u said so. Anyway, thanks for sharing ur experience
Mwen kwè ke depi w ap viv Lèzètazini kounyea ou gentan rankontre plizyè nwa ameriken k ap viv nan peyi a. Se blan yo ye toujou selon tèm yo ki ayisyen natif-natal yo itilize pou yo, menm nan peyi blan an.

Thanks for your comment and question. Haiti and the Bahamas are separate countries and islands. We're not too sure about traveling by boat but I found this site that might give you more info on travel in country that way. Hope this helps some :) www.travellerspoint.com/guide/Caribbean_ferries/

After a year or maybe two you’ll realize that Haiti isn’t as rural n weird as people think there are so many ways to live a normal life in Haiti like going to stores and sushi restaurants huge parties fried chicken restaurants and even ordering Chinese food life in Haiti is just as nice as life in the states Tbh

+David Berquist I believe it's 110 volts. We haven't had any problem with charging and using US electronics so far.
David Berquist yes

Jay Young oui.
Jay Young .je crois pas non.
what type ofapartment is that
I hate when Americans go to Haïti and don't even understand the language or the culture, I don't care if she is of Haïtian descent.
Brown falco Gaming Uneducated, lazy. You need help.
Furnished in France is the same with Haiti. I would love to have a microwave but I can't imagine that here
at least he will give Haiti some color it needs it
