I watch your videos because no one tell this much of truth in any video. You are a great person, who helped many students, workers without any barrier. And your kind words and smile make us happy😊😊....

I’d say that online course is a great way but if you combine free resources and a couple of apps, you could also reach a very good result. The most important thing is to create a good study routine with a nice study plan, so you don’t study chaotically.
    The video was interesting!

I like Pod 101 with the dialogues and audio but it can get a bit dry listening to grammar rules. I switch between Pod 101 and Mondly for active studying for now.

Personally I felt really good with Rosettastone. Compared to other language learning Apps, Rosetta Stone feels just better and worth the price. You get to speaking right away, everything you get taught you have to speak out into a microphone. Likewise, every sentence and word you hear there is being said by a native spaker, not a computer generated voice. Their course is well structured. I especially like the short stories it has, where you get actually well written and somewhat interesting stories that follow the vocabulary and grammar you are being taught, and they are not only for reading, but listening and speaking too. It's biggest downside in my opinion is, that it teaches all languages at a very formal level.

I've been learning german off and on for like 10 years using duolingo, busuu, youtube and some tv shows. I can understand a lot of german and my accent is near perfect, but I still struggle to form some sentences and the akkusitiv case word endings will never stick in my head. I'm basically sitting at b1 lvl. I'd be more motivated if I had any intention to go to germany but honestly I don't have the time or money. In any case, it's good for das Gehirn. 👌

I am interested in applying as an international first year university student in Germany (I currently live in the USA). I am really interested in applying but I am also applying to universities in my home country. By the time most application portals open in Germany, the enrollment deposits are due in USA. By the time admission decisions come out in Germany (aug/sept), I would already be enrolled in a university here in the US. I would like to keep both options open. How do I combat this issue?

"Avoid learning German from non-native speakers"? ☹☹😮😮😮 It's very sad to hear it from you. You’ve just devalued all those people who:
    1) love your native language so much that they’ve made it their profession, and
2)spread it across the world by teaching it, inspiring people to come to Germany. Which,as a result, leads to channels like yours being popular.
That was a very cheap statement, especially considering that you have no DaF background, yet still sell your online German courses. Being a native speaker doesn’t automatically make you a good German teacher, Max. Also, as someone who has actually learnt German as a foreign language, I can say that non-native speakers teachers are often better in many aspects.
