I've been super hyped about this phone since the announcement, still rocking my LG V20 that I refuse to give up because of them removing the 2nd display with the V30 upwards (even though I've used a V30 before and man it's still a beauty of a phone). For the first time ever though, after several years of wanting them to catch my attention, the Wing has it. It feels like a successor to the V20 but with a twist. A phone with a new and improved 2nd display that has more functions over the tiny 2nd display from the V10/V20. I'm a bit disappointed about the lack of the headphone jack, but that won't stop me from getting it day 1.
Can't start the video with out complaining trying to discourage people from buying this phone it not bad like he saying don't believe hem because Ben's teach review say alot of positive things about this phone
Just got mine. 1 migration and 2 updates later it works incredibly well. I was a little nervous at first but I love it after the updates and after all my apps downloaded.
Well, I am gonna buy that smartphone BECAUSE a lot of people say it is a trash. And seeing as i am bit of back-packer when it comes to traveling, I tend to travel light. I cannot have too much of electronics at hand. So smartphone with camera with this options is looking like good idea xD
People need to understand that this is not a phone aiming at ppl that want performance and good for money. I have been a huge fan of phones for past 13 years, especially LG phones, but past 3 years have been a huge disappointment. Ever since LG V30, that i currently own and have had it for 3 years now, phone market has become utter trash. Flagships that cost over a thousand euros on average, every phone is same, there are some gimmicky phones, but overall same like everything else. I have been waiting for something different, something that will steal my attention. This is exactly it. The price is not high, its not low either, i would have appreciated about 700-800€ more. If you realized yet, LG hasn't released a true flagship phone since LG V40-V50, coz they are aiming for phones that everyone can afford. They wont fight Samsung and Apple at their "expensive af" game, coz noone is gonna pay for LG phone as much as they would for Samsung and Apple. They are currently producing phones that miss some of the price raising features like over 60Hz display etc. Phone market has suddenly turned into "Oh it doesnt have 100000Hz display, its a trash", while we have been using 60Hz ones until a year ago, and most ppl cant even afford a phone with a higher refresh rate display...
This is not the first time that LG made a phone like this it was years ago it was on Verizon it was called...LG VX9400 it was small in your hand and you flipped it up. So they always been doing some futuristic phones here and there This is a good one again for 2021..
This is the best review I've seen on this phone and I've gone through many. I love this form factor, but it's difficult to commit to this over the other top tier flagships for everyday use.
That would be so cool if the horizontal part of the phone was foldable like the New Galaxy fold 2 to make the top screen as big as the New Galaxy fold 2 and then keep the vertical part sticking out through the bottom as well so you would flip it out and unfold it to open and then you would folded it in and flip it in to close it that way you could do productivity on your top big screen without your keyboard interfering taking half of your big screen that would be a phone I would be willing to pay top dollar for
In 2021,got it for $250. Security update still updated to July 2021. So much better optimization than my OG oneplus 8 (Ram Issue for oneplus is seriously fucked)
I bought the LG V60, love the device. However compared with my old LG G8 it does have a few downsides. I don't understand why they decided to move the fingerprint reader under the screen. The one on the back just worked so much better
Big thanks Alex! Looks like another dose of "Version 1 problems", but at least LG are trying. I found "too much of a lump in the hand" to be very off-putting with the S20Ultra, that went away when I moved to the Note20Ultra - just a little less weight made all the difference. Sounds like awkwardness will be the over-riding Wing challenge. Good review, keep 'em coming 😉
Dang I was so pumped about this phone and now after this video I'm not cause I just remembered how awful LG UI is overall. They just need to embrace stock Android since they can't do it right like Samsung. This is what Motorola did as well and I rather get one of their phones the anything from LG. I know you could just use a different launcher but in this case it seems like you are restricted to using only the LG one. Software is as important as hardware too imo. Look what happened to the Surface Duo. I rather spend the extra money to get Z Fold 2 if I wanted duo screens.
The whole video has a negative connotation as if the reviewer is deliberately speaking against LG phones in general. Every good aspect is told with a but without any credit where it's due. Bad review overall.
Hey Folks... owned the LG wing and what a piece of shit phone. The phone doesn't respond well when texting in 4 different including default texting. It is an over rated phone. More vanity vs anything. I made a huge mistake purchasing this phone. Do your DD when shopping for a phone. Don't just for for the hype.
The S20 Fanboy Edition will have bad battery life in the long run because it runs the 865 chipset and given Samsung's track record of making weak batteries plagued with poor longevity, it's not the only phone to buy right now.
@@BigJyeTV yeah aren't all devices could be guaranteed broken if you accidentaly drop it? like those dent or scratch. you're talking about structural stuffs but smartphones are fragile devices. even if it has ip rating, mil std stuffs could be also broken if you're being reckless.

It's the same with screen sizes and internal storage. Once you get used to something though it's noticeable if you go back and some prefer not to.

Debating this or the 8T. Feel like this is going to be a home run device in it's 2nd generation.
Look into lg v60 or velvet, good dual screen options that have had problems worked out through earlier generations (v50 and g8x)
I swear
My exact thoughts. I'm hoping gen 2 comes quickly though because I really like the design.
Go with the 8T for the timely and guaranteed generational software updates.
Get the wing, Velvet or V60.
