- I had just noticed how the ear tutorial seemed to be lacking and only really know of one good one, so I made my own! I now present how to make realistic fur suit ears!

If you wrap the ears/ whatever you are making in saurian wrap and then tap it's much easier to cut :)

The type of fur is call 'mm fox fur' but it is faux fur.

how long is that fur btw? I'm thinking on making a head but my character has a sort of poofy mane type thing going on.
It's three inch fur, but the shorter the fur the less shaving :3

sorry to bother you 1 year later, but why flip the pattern? it looks exactly the same, with my ears i just use the same thing twice without flipping, and they look great...
Foxy the pirate If the ear is more complex or have a marking then you would want to flip it. It's just good habit to make c:

there aren't just tutorials for certain species, it's more like just skills you need to develop and use universally for any species. I'd suggest watching Kloofsuits's time lapse head making series if you want to learn about head making.

Genevieve Manly not unusual for a suiter. They make plenty whether for commissions or to sell as a basic suit. Chances are, their house is full of suits and supplies because it's how a lot of people make their living

i hope you do use fake fur ,can't stand those furries who claim wanting to be closer with animals and how they love them meanwhile wearing poor dead animals skin and fur
Mikki Yeong I'm sure there might be some out there who do use real fur, but I've only ever seen people use faux (fake) fur. The majority of fursuits and accessories are made with fake fur, to my knowledge. Never seen anyone with real fur (but I can't say they don't exist because someone might).
The animal might all ready be dead though.
