I got a problem here . Did you setting the position of the player on exact location of the enemy or keeping some distance so that interaction/animation work perfectly? ( suppose you are punching the enemy on face , so the fist have to exactly positioned on the face).

Collider doing the work for me collider keeping some distance to animation work perfectly
