  • For this review, I purchased some items that I needed in my shop and for a future project. I saved almost 50% going to TEMU versus Amazon for the exact same items. If you don't believe me, check the Amazon links below to compare to what I purchased. (EDIT: there is one disparity, the marking square is not the exact same style but is strikingly close)
Here are the items that can be purchased on Amazon that were in the TEMU review. Buy them wherever you wish but my point was to show that TEMU sells a lot of the same things that can be found on Amazon for significantly less.
    Thermometer/Hygrometer: amzn.to/3wGy7pz (Amazon) (For three: $10.48 vs $6.72) 36% savings
    Anemometer: amzn.to/3SUzfNT (Amazon) ($15.99 vs $11.46) 28% savings
300mm Woodworking Marking Ruler: amzn.to/3uSsRyJ (Amazon) ($31.17 vs $14.48) 54% savings (EDIT: slight difference in products)
Canopy Nail Stakes: amzn.to/42SR2d7 (Amazon) ($16.65 vs $11.96) 28% savings
XL Silicon Mat: amzn.to/3P0cXJq (Amazon) ($24.99 vs $6.29) 75% savings WOW!
    TOTAL: TEMU - $50.91 Amazon - $99.28
    Savings of 49% or $48.37

Isn't it interesting how much hate gets directed at Temu? Accusations of slave labor and exploitation seem to turn up on any video about items from them. Yet here Amazon is selling the exact same items, and they get a complete pass. The only difference is Amazon sells the same items for 2 to 4 times the price.

That's the absolute truth. I was surprised to see how much overlap there is with Amazon and Temu. That just shows there are lots of middlemen cashing in on the consumer's expense.

accurate temperature reading from those little things??
I have multiple (much more expensive) thermometers in my shop and I can't get two of them to agree.

Great question. It's interesting that you should ask. I was just checking one of them for accuracy tonight. I brought it to my shop and compared it to another that I have there that is not digital, but I suspect to be more accurate. It was within 0.4 degrees F the first time and between 0.5 and 1.0 degrees the second check. I need to find a more reliable method but that's close enough for what I need it to. I didn't check all three of them but that gets me the info I need.

I can't that accuracy with mine.
If I take a reading and then reset and take another. I probably get plus or minus 2 deg F with the same thermometer. And between different thermometers I get more.
I'd be happy with plus or minus 1 deg.
You should bring them all into the shop and see if they all read the same.
My shop is below ground so it's important I get my pieces over 50F when I am doing finishing work and paint.

@@burtreynolds3143 I'll have to try that. All three of mine are in different places and I only checked the one currently in my shop against the analog thermometer. Thanks for the feedback.
