Thank you for the comment! My advice would be to find out your slowest shutter speed you can handhold with whatever camera your using, then just use iso to correctly expose. The R8 doesn't have ibis so I normally won't go slower than 1/80s
Hey, I am planning on buying this exact camera setup! Are you okay with the shortcomings for the R8 in comparison with the R6 or R6Mk2? Biggest one is IBIS and dual cards if I remember correctly. I am in between these 3 but the lens is pretty expensive and my thought process is just to have an capable camera and invest more in the lens. Would love to hear your opinion
I'm thinking the exact same. Another difference between R8 vs R6MKII is the battery size, almost half the size. Depending on where you are the price difference is quite significant, upto $1000 or more. That extra money should definately go towards lenses and perhaps a couple of spare batteries Also spoke to camera store worker, he advised on waiting a bit more till R5MKII is announced/comes out, as many people may wish to sell their R6MKII at a discount, maybe even some stores will sell it for cheaper?
@@nazvirsingh1056 That is actually solid advice. I almost have the funds ready so I will buy the camera early summer, hopefully the price of the r6ii would have declined a bit by that time. Otherwise I'ill go for the R8. The price difference of 1100€ is too steep to justify the advantages for my use case.
@@editsbydaan6048 exactly! The sensor, internal systems are that of the R6MKII, if you don't have use for the advanced features of R6MKII, might as well save the money and put towards lenses. Additionally since I have been thinking about a well rounded "all purpose" lens in 24-105 MM f/4 and also thinking about getting the 24-70mm f/2.8. I don't think I'll need the extra stop of aperture from 4 to 2.8, and that extra $1000 or so would be better spent on a flashlight for indoor/low light. What do you currently shoot on?
@@nazvirsingh1056 I currently shoot on a canon 80D with sigma 18-35 f/1.8. Heavy setup but works amazing for street photography! Only downside on the r8 is that the control ring is gone, I use that to change the aperture. So i'ill have to work around that
@@editsbydaan6048 oh yea that control ring is amazing, I borrowed my buddies 5D Mark III, and the switch from my T5i is day and night. Yea best to wait bro, and see if prices drop, otherwise an R8 is perfect for the intermediate/advanced amateur. Plus say you upgrade to an R5MKII or R5MKIII (whenever that happens) you can still keep the R8 as a back up body!
Id post some photos witout so many filters - the beauty if a fast lense is in the beholder of the camera not in the post processing you can add - but great work keep it up :)
Great video man. Do you have any tips for using this lens in lower light situations, similar to the second half of the video?
