I like the idea of Christianity being mainstream so long as it BIBLICAL Christianity. But such a thing seems pretty far from the mainstream these days. But I really liked what you said “Jesus doesn’t need anyone to be validated” that’s absolutely true
Unfortunately, Christianity can NOT be mainstream by definition!! Jesus said that the way to life is NARROW and those who follow it are FEW! Lord Jesus have mercy! 🙏🏼☦
It’s like this, by big name rappers and entertainers repping Christianity it’s a positive/possible negative thing. On the positive aspect the gospel is reached to the masses and ppl that were almost impossible to reach are reached. However on the negative aspect of it some people will associate their favorite entertainer with how they should walk in faith and as you can see most of the mainstream “Christians” don’t necessarily set a good example. I understand the fact that no one is perfect (of course), but some not wise decisions you make on a massive platform can affect people in a negative way long term and ultimately get “fans” off track. There’s many small churches out there preaching the straight gospel and don’t get exposure, where’s these “mainstream” entertainers just say Jesus automatically are praised. Remember Matthew 7:21 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” I do believe depending on the context of mainstream you say it does determine wether it can be positive or negative. (Disclaimer: I’m not perfect in any way shape or form, just expressing my thoughts on the topic, God bless)
Yes, makes total sense. The more popular a thing, one has to wonder how much it truly reflects Jesus. As the scripture says, ‘Broad is the way that leads to destruction, ….but narrow is the way that leads to life.’ Matt 7:13-14
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." Matthew 7:13-14
