In 1999, Michael Jackson wrote, composed and produced the song "People of the World" for the Japanese Pop group J-FRIENDS in support of the Kobe relief effort. Michael wrote this song for the children in Kobe, where a devastating earthquake killed more than 5000 people in 1995. He offered to work with J-FRIENDS, who were then planning a charity project for the Kobe children, and co-produced this song with Japanese producer Yasushi Akimoto. The single 'People of the World' was released on January 13, 1999.

"People all over the world", "Heal the world" and "To make my father proud" - these are my favourite Michael's songs. I just can't stop listening to them. I truly love how they gives me chills every single time. Michael was incredible artist. It's like a poem - music is "only" an addition. He created philosophy in his own way, which contains everything: environment, dreams, injustice and political aspects. He was a genius.

+Nhung Nguyễn Michael wrote Heal the World in the early 9O's, it is on the Dangerous Album released in 1991. Wiki says he wrote People of the World in 1998 for J Friends. This was an effort to help raise funds for the children who were killed or injured in the Kobe Earthquake. It is truly a Beautiful Song!

Even though this song doesn't seem to be quite finished, lyrically, the melody is really beautiful. I love Michael Jackson's voice so much. I need to tell you, though, that many of the lyrics on the screen are incorrect. At :53......he sings "In the black hills of North Virginia"....not "all for children". At 1:27 - 1:36 "I've been to Naples" and "I've been to Georgia"......not Russia and Ukraine. Then, you have Russia and Ukraine again in the next frame......he definitely doesn't sing that, but I can't hear what the two place names are.
