I'm an adult who has had this scooter and I loved using this for going places up to two miles away. Fantastic. I've tried trips about ten miles or more (not exactly sure). It's doable, but it lacks in comfort options like suspension so every bump gets to your feet and legs. Along with just scooting fast constantly, I got a headache after a good while. lol A bike with comfort options might be better. But I put it through its paces and it handled it like a boss. Carrying it wasn't a problem either
@@sylvial1985 If you take it relatively easy, about 10 minutes. If you work hard, about 6-7 minutes. You can't go too fast on the sidewalk; have to take to the streets for top speed.
I have this scooter, the BEST scooter I've ever got! So much better and more good looking than my old one, the color is good, the smooth ride is AMAZING and I used it when I was going from one class to another at my college, or if I wanna get some exercise with fun included
I just received the red one but it didn't have a kickstand. I am very excited though. I'm going to ride it in south beach this weekend. Thank you for your review.
Similar design, also inspired by Born to Run, but I actually made these myself with the help of a close friend who is a shoemaker. His company is called Babu Shoes, look it up! -Miles
Hi, great little review (not super detailed, but some good high speed shots!), you seem to really recommend this one, but I'm interested in the Micro White (or Black) as well. Any chance of reviewing the White/Black? Maybe a comparison with the A5? Thanks!
Thanks for watching! The Micro Adult is quite a nice upgrade from the Lux, although offered at a bit higher price point. I'll see if we can post a comparison review on the Lux and micro sometime soon. In the meantime, here's a blog with some great kick scooter articles: kickscooterpro.com/ All the best - Jack
does the rod go up any higher or is that the limit? (also, great video, out of all the ones i've seen, this one is way more genuine and fun than the others. it lists the technical specs as well as gives good examples of how it actually rides. makes it look joyful to ride)
I have one of these scooters and I ride it around on the sidewalks of downtown San Francisco, I see lot of commuters there ride their kick scooters on sidewalks.
Hi, good question. We have a few high end electric scooters that would be great if you are looking to invest money in something very high quality. You can view these at the link: www.nycewheels.com/goped-i-ped-electric-scooter.html You should also consider a high powered electric folding bike. It will end up being lighter, faster, and more compact than a scooter, and for around the same price. Here's a link to an excellent electric model called the E-brompton: www.nycewheels.com/brompton-electric-bike.html Jack
Heh, Miles look like the kind of guy who hangs out at the beach or skatepark, producing videos for skate or surf DVDs. xD "I'm gonna go for a joyride. >:D" Like a boss.
Dear NYCeWheels I live in a pretty rural area and I just got an A5 but I still can ride at the schools and in the neighborhoods sidewalks but do you think I could ride in my yard thay isn't too rough or rocky?
Hi David, you could give it a try but most kick scooters have wheels that are too small to ride over grass or unpacked dirt. The KickPed would be your best bet: www.nycewheels.com/kickped-kick-scooter.html - Jack
So, I am considering this or the Fuzion Cityglide. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what would be the better buy. I am looking just to get around campus faster and small commutes if I have to park super far away.
xootr or razor a5 or micro black scooter?? which ones best for commuting and speed!? and comfort is important too but so is durability so how long it will last without braking!
Of these three the Xootr (or City Kicker) is going to be the fastest. Keep in mind that all of these have harder polyurethane tires which won't handle bumps in the road as well as a scooter like the KickPed which has larger rubber tires: KickPed, NYC's kick scooter Best - Jack
i see there are two of them, one blue that you have and one red,are they both made for adult or red one for kids? one more how fast can you go with that thing,im going to get one thx
David Sarrazin Impossible to answer that. Bicycles come in all shapes and sizes. How large the tire/wheel is, how thin the tire/wheel is, how light the bike is, how long the chain is, and if it has gear settings or not, all come into play when trying to know how fast a bike goes. Even then, there's still a large range of speeds. You can go extremely slow on a bicycle, or pretty damn fast if you're working at it. A scooter is going to be generally slower than a bike, or at least it's going to be more physical body work to go as fast. Even with great beatings in the scooter wheels, the wheels are tiny compared to an average bicycle wheel. Also, sitting down on a bike seat and slowly pedaling is much more leisurely than standing up and kick pushing. Skateboarding and scootering is typically (in my experience) more tiring than riding a bike.
Hi Kira, it is perfectly legal to ride a kick scooter on sidewalks and foot paths in New York City. Here's a link where you can order online! www.nycewheels.com/razor-a5-scooter.html Best - Jack

Thanks. He sort or hinted that this "companion scooter" is better for the kids. But it would have been nice if he said it outright, like you did
How long does it take for you to travel a mile on this thing?

@nicelife044it’s plenty fast. More recommended to just replace the bearings in the wheels with Bronson G3.
I'm 6'4" and 250 and love my KickPed. I've been scootin' around Chicago on it for about a month now-a blast.

Congratulations Felix, thank you for watching, and happy riding on your new scooter! Are you local to New York? - Jack
I've got one too, more fun than walking. So strong for such a light scooter 250 lbs no probs!
I currently own one and I love it.
Should be perfect, I'm 5'11" and 170 or so, and I wasn't even close to pushing any of the A5's limits.

Impitch Foty Fibe Only the blue one has a kickstand.
That was sort of the effect we wanted, funny and laid back. Thanks for watching!
Just blue and red (once we're back in stock of the latter), but maybe sometime in the future...

The tallest scooter we carry is the KickPed in its large size. That seems to work just fine for people of your height.

The sync to the song is great. Nice edit, haha.

Should I ride my kick scooter on the sidewalk or the bike lane? Is there a law recommendation for that? If this helps, I live in California, USA.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA this made me cry from laughing!!!
What is the total length of the handlebar in this model?
What's the hardness level of the a5 wheels?

Is it good for doing tricks tho
i like that scooter

My red one didn't come with a kickstand.. is it only on the blue one??
Yes, only the blue model has a kickstand.
I think the newer red ones come with a stand

Where can I get a pair of those man sandals?
They are the same scooter, just different color schemes. I'm gonna guess you'll top out at 10 mph or so on average.

Are those slippers for girls ?
The problem with these wheels is they are meant for very smooth surfaces only. Otherwise you will loose your dental fillings
Just trying to bring in all the priceless sandal demographic, risky move I know.... - Jack
Where did you buy that
Either Amazon or Target. I bought mine from Target.
