Thank you for the video. I have 2 of these pants. One I've had for maybe over 2 years and the bottom crotch area has torn/ripped and it's become big that I have to get a new pants. Anyways, I've worn those pants everyday (casual, hiking, going to the range, camping, coaching sports etc.). I think, I might have washed the pants too many times. Knowing what I know now, I will never wash the pants in a laundry machine, I will just hand wash only. As for the pants itself, it's one of the most comfortable to wear, I love the pockets, especially the back ones because there's like 2 rear pockets per side and I can easily put my flash light and knife in it. It's almost, the rear smaller pocket was designed for that. I am a size 34 but my 2nd pants is a 36 and concealing with the size 36 is very comfortable, especially when sitting down, you almost don't notice it. When it does rain, the pants do get pretty wet and become uncomfortable. Compare this with my 511 pants that was not so bad when it gets wet on a raining day. My size 36 pants will be tested to see if the crotch area will last longer or not. Besides that, this is one of my most favorite pants. Don't be fooled by the pathetic pictures they have online, these pants looks very nice and cool (if you get your correct size).
I wear mine every day also, it bothers me that they are so close to having the best pants on the market but won't fix the durability issues. I only wash mine when they get really bad, like after a missing person search in 100+ degree weather.
That's a little hard to answer since the sizing of these particular pants is off from the start. I've always worn true size even when I carried a full size gun IWB. So I would say whatever you normally buy for sizing, whether you size up or not with other pants, stick to that. I did not find these to be any different from other pants in that regard. If you always find the size that fits you then add one for IWB, that is what I would do here also. You may end up true size or even one down because of their odd sizing so waist numbers don't mean too much for this specific pant model unfortunately.
Length is not quite accurate, either. I normally wear a 30” length, and originally ordered a pair with 30” length, which was fine until I washed them. They shrunk to the point they’re like what we used to call “high water” pants. You’ll want your order them a size longer than you normally wear.
Good review. I've worn two pairs through the crotch. Hike 20+ miles each week plus daily wear. Not unhappy, but seems excessive. Remainder of pants have held up great. Buying third pair today.
If they would fix these small problems these pants would be top notch. Other brands can manage to hold up through a hike of the entire AT, so I don't think we're asking too much.
Nice review Sir! I have 3 pair of the Delta Stretch 2.1 and love them. I rotate them with my Vertx Defiance jeans depending on the weather and what I'm doing. Keep up the great work!
No problem, I got tired of the glowing reviews that clearly ignore their shortcomings so I decided to make the video I wish had already been made when I was looking for info. They're good pants, people just need to be honest about the fact that they have issues. Let me know how you like the LTs, I'm deciding whether or not to spend the money on them.
My major issue with the Vertx Delta Stretch pants is that they use stretch material where the button fastens. For me, a concealed carrier, the material stretches and allows the pants to constantly become unfastened. It's a real problem for me since I appendix carry and wear a Wilderness Tactical Instructor's Belt. I also find the back pocket that I put my wallet in wears out pretty quickly. I can remedy that, but not the issue with the stretchy button holes.
For $100 they should be better quality. Big issue for me, they run WAY small, so you need to order at least one waist size larger than your actual waist size, and they shrink after washing, so the length should be ordered one size bigger, too. I normally wear a 34x30 pants. I have to order the Vertx in 36x32. After washing, they fit perfectly. (I also have one pair that I got in my original length (30”), but ordered the 36” waist. After washing, they are much too short. I may have them cut to shorts length so I can wear thin without looking nerdy. But once you know the correct size to order, they’re great…

Would you recommend sizing up for IWB from your normal size?

I can never find the jeans in my size so I haven't tried them. Maybe one day.
Thanks man for the honest review. I just bought a couple pairs of the LT. looking forward to see more in the future

Are the other pants with the larger pocket the Cutbacks?
Yes, they call them cutback technical pants or something to that effect.
I wish they'd make 32x36. I hear that the 32x34 are too short.
Do they not make that size at all? I know I have to watch the site for a while to get the color/size combos I want.

You are right, the button unfastens itself on me too.
You should get yourself a cheap sewing machine so you can mod the waistband with a little extra material for a proper button.
I actually have a nice sewing machine, hadn't thought of that...
I wish they didn't cost a $100😂
Yea I use one of the youtubers' coupon codes and get 15% off usually.
Do you remember who?
@@cosmichef75 I use Last Line of Defense's, code LLOD. I'm almost positive it used to be 25% but then dropped to 15, which is still appreciated.
