For me, it was Wings; My Love. Danced to it in 1973. 7th grade. Goodbye Yellowbrick Road. Knockn' on Heavens Door, critics panned the movie, old actors playing young cowboys!
‘Stuck In The Middle With You’ by Stealer’s Wheel. It featured Gerry Rafferty (‘Baker Street’) on Lead Vocal, with that great sax hook you heard a few times on Rick and Morty).

I don't have to worry about forgetting these, because more than half of them never caught enough of my attention to even be aware of their existence🥱. To each his own, I guess.

Interestingly enough everyone of these songs (including Billy Paul's 'Me and Mrs. Jones') are contained in my extensive vinyl collection. Some entire albums and some 45s, but being an old fart I bought during their first release for just a two bucks or less.
Great display of classic tunes. Would certainly be much better if we were actual able to listen to mostly music rather than 80% narrative . Just a thought!!
He pronounced many wrong in vids. But hey teacher. I call things as I wish. And also wish I ran into a helper like you....set ya straight quick. Deekhead. Get that right.

Take note - this is almost the only song Bob did that nobody else came along and did better (some folks might disagree, but it's a matter of taste and I think GNR mauled the song). Funeral For A Friend / Love Lies Bleeding was a better song than "Yellow Brick Road" - which is a tribute to how STRONG that album was. Smoke On The Water was practically the National Anthem during much of 1973 - SHOULD be arguing with Free Bird for that #1 spot. No Angie? Arguably the second-best song the Stones ever did (and sometimes I put it FIRST). No "No Quarter"? Arguably THE BEST song Led Zep ever did? No "Let It Ride"? The best song BTO ever did? You did add Elton to the list. Bravo. But Billy Paul got honorable mention? Any time I see one of these 10 all time greats lists, I always turn to see what else is on. Karen Carpenter is by far the best female singer of the 70’s.
