American Family is Amazed by El Nido, Philippines Island Hopping!! Part 1

- El Nido Island Hopping day 1 is full of adventure as we voyage through tour A, which includes Seven Commandos Beach, Big Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, Shimizu Island, and Payong Payong Beach. Our first stop is Seven Commando Beach, where we do some snorkeling and see some amazing reefs and fish. There are clownfish, triggerfish, and jellyfish that can be seen. After a while, at Seven Commandos the next stop is Secret Lagoon. This is an all-snorkeling spot, as the beach is privately owned. This lagoon offers crystal clear waters and amazing varieties of fish. Our guide shows us a beautiful blue starfish and an adorable pufferfish.
After admiring the beauty of the lagoon we make our way to Payong Payong Beach. There are amazing rock formations on and around this beach. We take some time to explore these towering rocks as we explore the beach. Dad heads off snorkeling while our lunch is being prepared. When our lunch comes out we are all pleasantly surprised by all the amazing food. Our lunch includes crabs, tuna fish, noodles, rice, soy sauce, pineapple, watermelon, vegetables, chicken, pork, Coca-Cola, and more! As we dine on our meal, some tourists came up and asked if they could have some of our food, which we thought was funny as we turned them away. After eating as much as we could our guide took us to this secret area. We had to trek through the water to get to the entrance, which was a small opening in a wall of jagged rock. The waves shook us up a little, as we made our way through the opening. Inside was a brackish water lagoon completely surrounded by cliffs. The water was cooler in there than the outside ocean. After this experience, we headed back to the boat, and the rest of the tour will be in part 2 of this video.

That fish you ate is called danggit. I once interviewed an old couple who'd raised their kids catching and selling danggit. The husband would go out at night in a tiny boat to catch the fish. The wife would clean it, brushing away some black and bitter parts in the tummy. Then she'd soak it for a bit in vinegar, salt and pepper then lay it out under the sun for a few hours. In the afternoons she'd peddle it to neighbors or bring it to establishments in town.
Don't forget to chat with the locals every chance you get! That's part of the best world schooling the kids will ever get! Have more fun! Ingat ('ee-ngat' - stay safe)!

There are pearl farms in Palawan that grow Golden South Sea Pearls. Hope you get to visit the stores and maybe bring home a pair. Very rare and expensive when they reach the West.
It is a beautiful place. I went there in 2016 and I never wanted to leave! The water is so clear and warm like bath water. ...and YES, snorkeling there is amazing!

Your family are so blessed to experienced true to life aquarium. The architectural jurassic stone curved designed by God's hands. Untouched by human hands. Average Filipinos never experienced that, cause Philippines, as diversified island are hard to reach. The only possible transpo we can reach places is by air, water and land. Glad that we saw God's natural beauties through internet. Most Filipinos gone through a lot of places overseas but not yet the entire islets of Pilipinas.
Have fun and enjoy what God has to offer right on your naked eyes. If I may suggest. PUERTO GALLERA is one of divers fave also. Colorful gigantic corals and fishes. Philippines has a lot more to offer like in regions, cities and commercial buildings. Beautiful mountain sceneries and the beauties underworld.

I’m just like wow! How you captured in your video the beautiful different stunning colors of the sea creatures 💚💙 I’ve seen so many vloggers didn’t do it justice but you Backman Family did it ❤️ You picked the right guide because they served you lunch that’s exceptionally different. They all look delicious! I’ve never seen so many good selections of dishes especially the crabs. No wonder there are tourists asking you to have some. It looks like your Part A tour is all worth it watching this video ❤️

we call that Dang-git, we love it because of its crispiness and a bit salty too, match it with tomato, Im not sure if your boys is adventurous, but I hope they can try some food like Dinuguan ( a stew cook with Pigs blood and some meat and intestines match it with Puto made from gluten rice)
