Well it has been over 10 months since your last video. Guess it is safe to say you are finished making them. I see youtube channels come and go but I always enjoyed watching your channel. So long and good luck to you. -Everett
Awesome channel! I see the 919 on the firewood bags. I’m probably not too far away from you. I have a 252 number but now live in the 919 area. I have enjoyed watching your videos!! I’m subscribing now.
@@FoxfireProjects all good bud. I was having a chat with The Log Father on RUclips about your splitter. He has one similar to yours and I was telling him the first time ive seen one was on your channel.
Hey! Just wanted to check in & see how you’re doing? If you’re ever in WV let me know. Paul Bunyan is the first weekend in October if you’re interested. Take care.
All good here! Hope the same for you! Work is keeping me pretty busy these days. Traveled through WV last month on my way to the UP. Stayed in Gilbert on the way up and Princeton on the way back. Beautiful country. Thanks for checking in!!
Nice to see this truck. I've seen other people's comments, but the wood bags you can get in Japan cost as much as $40. I would like you to come to a log lift agency.
Wow! I suppose the shipping and handling to Japan adds on quite a bit. Have you looked at NNZ.com? Always great to hear from you. Thanks so much for watching!
@@FoxfireProjects NNZ logbags are not available here. I use a black wood bag from another manufacturer. The dealer explained that the durability is 4 years for outdoor use. But I can't buy many of them. I'm making a stackable firewood rack with scrap iron.
I’ve said it before but I really like this option for doing bag deliveries. Maybe be some day this will be an option. Would a 12 ft or 14 ft bed enable you to load 6 bags on the truck to maximize loads being delivered?
Bigger bed would be nice. I think 6 bags is all I would want to carry on the 550 platform though. We are hoping to order a new truck spec'd this way in the near future. Will post an update. Thanks for watching!
Hello from the Netherlands . maybe have a magnetic plate made with your company logo and info on it. I know it's not your own truck hence the magnetic plate. Are you going to deliver by truck or work, stick them magnetically on the doors and pull them off again when you're done. store them neatly and cleanly for next time and you can use them for years . thanks for the video Fox . Sincerely Hollandduck
Appreciate the kind words. We've thought about fabricating some steps, but the fold down doors on the storage boxes actually work really well on the sides, and the trailer hitch on the rear. Hate to open the can of worms if "it ain't broke" 🙂 Thanks so much for watching!
How long have your bags lasted? I had them but I believe a different company, they only lasted me one season. They started to dry rot and rip. Now I use ibc totes for all my wood storage. Takes up more storage space when empty but I love them.
We started out using the "Dino" brand bags with red straps, and had the same luck as you. Dry rotted and tore pretty quickly. We soon tried the Log Lift bags, and haven't looked back. We've got bags around the woodyard that have done a dozen deliveries over several years, and still going strong. Can't say enough good things about them. Appreciate you watching!
Both sides are crossed. Sometimes the lift loops that we run the straps through are higher up on the wood bag, so the"x" is up out of view. Thanks for watching!
Great video new subscriber, question did you order your F-550 with the Fassi crane from a ford dealer or was it set up for something else? It’s a brilliant way to move firewood!
We picked the truck up used and it was already setup. We have enquired with the local Ford dealer about building one new, spec’d the same, and it can be done. Glad to have you watching!!
Hey, I’m looking at the exact same knuckle boom, I’m wondering if an electric/hydraulic pump would work or do I need to find something else? I’ve got a cab and chassis f350 single wheel.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure about the electric/hydraulic. Ours uses the truck PTO. I'm not sure the F350 frame could handle the addition of a knuckle boom, at least not the size we are running in this video. My personal truck is an F350 SRW, and the F550 frame is much beefier. Thanks for watching!
Check out NNZ.com We purchase the Log Lift 1/3 firewood bags direct from them. They have locations world wide. Last time we ordered a small quantity, it was $14/bag. Appreciate you watching!
We used regular pickup trucks. Had a 70s dodge 250 and a 90s dodge 350. Simple wood racks on the sides, stacked 6 rows in them to equal a full cord. We still have a 90s model chevy we use for some deliveries. Appreciate you watching!
We order the bags direct from the manufacturer. They print our logo for a fee with a certain minimum quantity. Check them out at nnz.com Thanks for watching!
Great to hear from you! All is well here. Just a bit busy these days with my day job. Things always slow down in the winter, and planning to get some new content out. Thanks for checking in!
I enjoyed the books growing up for sure and have visited the Foxfire Museum. Had a bit to do with the channel name for sure. Thanks so much for watching!
All good here my friend. Life has gotten busy and I’ve fallen out of the habit of filming and editing. Hope to get some content out this winter when things slow down a bit. Hope all is well with you. Great hearing from you. Appreciate you checking in!
Looking forward to some new videos! Where have you been?
I'm still alive. My day job keeps me pretty busy these days. Slowly working on some new content. Thanks for checking in!

Still around in the comments, just don't have the time to dedicate to creating the content anymore. Appreciate you watching though!
Using a knuckle boom is pretty slick. Doug here, from Hickory Point Farms

hi friend!cool video i have been looking for crane truck videos for a long time.
I also have a similar knuckleboom (fassi-F110)
Glad to have you watching! They are the Swiss army knife of trucks, not much they can't do.
Great channel. New subscriber from England.
Welcome! Glad to have you watching!
Nice job. That truck is nice. Take care

I'm not familiar with the black bags. Will have to research. The firewood rack sounds like a great project. Good luck!

Why do you only cross the dead end of the strap? Why not cross both sides?

Where'd you get the Tim Hortons cup? When I first saw it I was confused what channel I was watching. You've got a pretty cool operation.
Have a few friends in the north country. Try to get up there every summer and escape the heat. Love me some Timmies! Appreciate you watching!
