It amazes me that this channel hasn't blown up yet, as you guys put out some of the best content for car related reviews! I brought a Fiesta ST based upon your ravings a couple of months ago and am loving the car. Can't wait for summer to arrive in New Zealand before I can really find out what the car can do on a twisty back road!
We hope that day is coming, thanks for saying this. We've been around a long time and we'll continue to crank stuff out. Very glad to have you with us and enjoying what we do! Oh - and congrats on your Fiesta ST, it's great to hear we were helpful in your getting a very fun car! Thanks for watching and commenting!
just bought this great car and yes it is super fun to drive. I look forward to spring so I can have summer tires on and see what the car really can. thank you for a very interesting test of the car
great review. As european I love to see a good and normal review of our hatchbacks. I'm still in love with peugeot as they are one of the best hatchbacks and normal day cars out there. I got 307sw and it is great
I really liked this guy you should keep him around to review the European cars. Also your show is all about two guys sharing their opinions about a car it would be interesting to see a third opinion/person. He is a different size comes from different background and has a different taste. I think having him around is a great addition to the show to contribute information or what ever. maybe he is the third addition to your team he he has an energy to him which I enjoy. I believe it's a great addition to what you have already. the show can become so more of a discussion/argument like top gear if you were to include him. in the last part of the video it was entertaining to see you discuss the car. In most videos people just say stuff but it was new and I enjoyed someone defending what they said. it gave more depth to the review. as a viewer I suggest you pay attention to the views and likes and if your budget allows it expand.
Definitely one of the reviews that convinced my to test drive the car and go on to buy one. I have to agree about the ESP, although you can't fully turn it off the car moves around enough with it switched on that you wouldn't really want to fully disengage it. Good review.
I like this guy. He knows his stuff, he's funny, and it looks like he can drive too. I really dig the euro hatch reviews too. We don't get all of those cars in the US. I can't wait for the 718 review.
I really liked the video and heres an idea guys: What about you include some footage of the ring laps / canyon carving in the sights & sounds videos? Just to make them a little bit longer, like 6 to 8 minutes, no comments or voiceover needed. I will be awesome!
Oh it's got an armrest, Polo Gti didn't get one. I love my armrests. You sit high in it too, I'm 5 8 so that's good for me. Still very expensive used though, Audi TT is cheaper but this is a rarer car. I've never seen one on the road in this form.
Germans with American accents is a kinda funny thing. Tom sounds like a mixture of Christoph Waltz and Ray Magliozzi. Not a criticism, btw. Good review, as always.
Funny thing, this world. I like the addition of Tom to the channel, but watch the unavailable-in-the-US car videos just for entertainment. Now it looks like I'll be taking a long-term job in Germany in a couple months, so they've become informational as well. :)
Hello guyes, top 5 reviewers on net, amazing job, I love right that aspects of cars, those you speak about. I love also the discustion in the last 1/3 of video. Once again phenomenal job, so glad to spend time by my coffe and your content ;)
Todd and Paul.I know its a tall order but if Tom could find a bmw e46 m3 CSL to test vs the new M2 some day that would be awesome ! Thx for another great vid.
The ibiza originally had a DQ200 dry clutch, which was known to have its issues(premature clutch failure due to not being able to handle torque) the golf R has the DQ250 which is a more refined much happier gear box that’s wet clutch and can handle much more torque than it’s actually designed for hence why you can double the bhp and torque🤷🏻♂️ personally I’ve got the Ibiza with the DQ200 and I haven’t had any issues yet(70k miles) but if I wanted to modify the car I wouldn’t go past stage 1 as I wouldn’t want to risk added torque.😅
I have an Ibiza fr 1.4 150ps and I love it but the steering is pretty numb, don't get me wrong you can learn to trust it but its still pretty numb. I wonder if the Cupra is the same?
It's a 6speed manual, right? did u also use it on the autobahn? What was the fuel like in let's say, 130 or 150 kmh on 6th gear? you said that the gearing is very long, does it make a good, also fuel efficient (kinda) cruiser?
from 1.4 turbo compressor to 1.8 turbo its not the same small rockets category. before the facelift the ibiza cupra was an amazing value for money. now just find another 2k and get the leon fr
hey i can't believe how little subscribers you have for what you do. could you some sort of reviewon the toyota 86 i would appreciate it. always remember you're the best motoring chanel :)
We're very glad to have you with us. We have a FRS (Us version of GT86) in our long term fleet and have discussed it at length. Here's the playlist for every time we've reviewed any variation of the car: ruclips.net/p/PLHxU7q4gi5_sFJCSzL7x5zPsz4WxzuKgd Meanwhile, we hope to get Tom into the Toyota version in the new future. Thanks for watching and liking what we do!
The European GT86 comes with two interior options, the base is like the FRS, the nicer one is like the nicer one offered in the Subaru BRZ. The nicer interior always has a start/stop ignition on the center console. Otherwise, the FRS is very similar to the GT86.
The Ford Fiesta was first made in Spain and started the Ford plant in that country which makes the title ridiculous because the Ford Fiesta is a spanish car somehow...
k chr you're wrong. This 1.8 is a derivation of the 2.0 tsi, not 1.8 vt like yours. And it has much more torque and power. I tried a Golf GTI 180 and it's great, but nothing to against the Ibiza Cupra 1.8 tsi
Why to buy the Seat Ibiza Cupra when you can have the Seat Leon FR SC 1.8 tsi manual T. with DCC. It comes with the same engine, independent rear suspension, it has the same chassis as the Leon Cupra and Golf 7 r, has electronic dif, it costs less, the sport seats are better, the infotainment is better, has a bigger trunk, weighs quite the same as the Ibiza Cupra and it's a better looking car ;-p
YoyowaX No, the Ibiza has 80 NM more of torque, 12 hp more, 100 kg less, the same electronic diff and infotainment and about 3.000 € cheaper. I can understand that for many people the Leon FR is a better buy, but is not what you say. Ibiza is a hot hatch, Leon a fantastic all-rounder.
So this is the car Posner took a pill in...
lol i'm the only who saw this and got it lol this should have more likes
i think you were not the only one, everyone that liked understood it

thats the better Ibiza cupra review! well done guys
Love the basketball reference!
Honestly the Ibiza is way more sexy outside & inside. Might be less fun to drive than a fiesta ST, but it's the precision that wins the races.
Except it’s slower round a track 😉
great review. As european I love to see a good and normal review of our hatchbacks. I'm still in love with peugeot as they are one of the best hatchbacks and normal day cars out there. I got 307sw and it is great
Great reviewer...real enthusist!
Fantastic video! I watch a lot of car video's on RUclips and Tom is quickly becoming my favorite reviewer.
You won me over with that phenomenal Dirk Nowitzki analogy.

"Masters of the Hooniverse"
Fantastic episode. You guys should do more segments with this guy especially with Ring and Autobahn reviews.
Never seen a German person this happy, I like his energy.

I will be awesome!
I love this guy's work! Can't wait for the 718 S.
Cant wait to take my Ibiza Cupra to Nürburgring next year!!!!!
in America everyone would think this was a Suzuki. From the looks to the emblem.
Oh it's got an armrest, Polo Gti didn't get one. I love my armrests. You sit high in it too, I'm 5 8 so that's good for me. Still very expensive used though, Audi TT is cheaper but this is a rarer car. I've never seen one on the road in this form.

Great review - lot of energy!
The car had too much torque for a DSG? What DSG does a golf R have then? 😅
Tom smashed it again
When are you going to review the Megane and Clio?
Love this dudes accent.
I thought you was going to review the clio RS ????
Keep up the great videos! Like that you're expending.
I have an Ibiza fr 1.4 150ps and I love it but the steering is pretty numb, don't get me wrong you can learn to trust it but its still pretty numb. I wonder if the Cupra is the same?
He sounded constipated during the Nurburgring part of the video :P
so jealous of the variety of hot hatches available in Europe..
Great review, great car.
Can't wait for it to get to Mexico, I want it so bad
It's a 6speed manual, right? did u also use it on the autobahn? What was the fuel like in let's say, 130 or 150 kmh on 6th gear? you said that the gearing is very long, does it make a good, also fuel efficient (kinda) cruiser?
Really good video thanks guys
The way you guys say polo haha, Pawl-Low haha
from 1.4 turbo compressor to 1.8 turbo its not the same small rockets category. before the facelift the ibiza cupra was an amazing value for money. now just find another 2k and get the leon fr
Eirini M yup
A leon fr wich is way slower and funny
This costs more than the Leon FR on the used market. Way way rarer car. You hardly ever see them.
this guys awesome great channel
I want one. But how to find one carefully driven and maintained?
Did I see a Challenger at the Ring?
It's either a yes or we're both seeing things
How does It feel to drive a manual instead of a DSG?
Great Stuff!!
What is the best sporty station wagon for less than $3000USD
So you don't have SEAT in the States... What a shame, you'd enjoy them, specially young people with the new Ibiza and Leon.
Isma-AE we dont get new cars as young folks in the US...usually we get used cars haha
3:30 - Made In Poland. BITCHEEEES!
P.S. Great channel. Subscribed.
Not bad at all!
Is this car any good? Goo knows
Soo Ibiza or Leon?
hey i can't believe how little subscribers you have for what you do. could you some sort of reviewon the toyota 86 i would appreciate it. always remember you're the best motoring chanel :)
*could you do
sorry for the grammar *review on

do you know if there are any major differences between the two? thanks.

You can hear where the New York, Hasidic Jewish accent came from. It obviously has German origins.
Great looking car but not being able to disable the nannies ruins it to me.
it is amazing how the vw group keeps puting that garbage armrest for so many years, my 98 mk4 golf has the same one and it rattles like crazy

Theres an extremely important question unanswered! How often does the host shave his pits?
What year is that one?
The 1.8t are made from 2015/2016
but the question to me isn't ibiza or fiesta.... it's ibiza or polo
and actually the answer to all is 208 Gti Prestige because it does EVERYTHING well
White man duck? lol no idea what he said. Good review, with we had the Polo R in the states.
White. Man. Dunk. Tom is a serious basketball fan and Dirk Nowitzki is a countryman and personal favorite. Thanks for watching!
You're gonna hurt your neck in the long run driving like this.
quién te crees tú para decir que el Ibiza Cupra es una copia del fiesta st
espanhol Vw!!! is hot!!!! seatwagen
The body looks like a Audi a1
It is essentially is. Seat is owned by VW. So is Audi.
Because it is audi with different logo (vag)
I was going to say, is this just a golf with a cheaper badge.
+FarhanAxiq no it isnt . not even close ... only the engine and chassis is shared by the vw group
+Doug T its smaller than a golf . its a competitor fot the polo gti

he has the weirdest accent I've ever heard
