Ich hab dieses Teil neulich für mich entdeckt. Meiner Meinung nach ein VW Polo GTI nur günstiger und mit einer ultra krassen Serienausstattung (Sitzheizung., Navi, Adaptiv Fahrwerk, Xenon etc. pp.)
Bei Sixt-Leaing mit 10-20 % Anzahlung inkl. Versicherung für 200€ mtl. :))

Nice video Guido. New Ibiza is very appealing to me. I may consider buying one my self. I'm looking actually at the small hothatch so this pretty much fits the bill for me. I never liked the 1.4 with 7 speed dsg gearbox. It was a bit of a disappointment from VW. They had some reliability issues with the gearboxes as you said they just couldn't handle the power. Weirdly I can't find VW Polo GTI in Denmark with the new 1.8 tsi. I'm not sure they will sell it here. I will definitely test drive Ibiza.

Ok it pulls it's own tyres off, but what about the chassis, did you find it tossable in corners or does it rather understeer much...? i'm curious!
Thanks ! No it is right on the safe side, the tires spin and you get understeer and push, same in the dry at least on these winter tires. Would love to try it on summer tires

+wtfdididolastnight I find mine to be very playful and I've never driven something so ready to do lift off oversteer (but it's not dangerously tailhappy) but I have a FR 2015 so the new suspension on this might change that
+S Miller Driving in the wet and on winter tires, I really couldn't feel and tendence to oversteer. I bet its more exciting on summer tires with less understeer and more tire grip to play with:)

Hi Guido! that 's a great video!I have just buy the new ibiza cupra (in dynamic grey like the leon cupra), and i'm waiting for it to arrive now. So, at all, do you think it's a good, fast hatchback, right? I have drove the one in exposition but It wasn't possible to me to drive fast. I have a ibiza FR 2.0 tdi now 2013 edition, and i like it, but fortunately the 2016 edition has better inside quality.

Mich wundert es, dass du doch noch halbwegs gut darin sitzen kannst. Bin bisher nur den A1 gefahren und fühle mich obwohl ich nur 1,85 groß bin extrem unwohl. Sitze viel zu hoch, Lenkrad kommt nicht weit genug raus und das Lenkrad ist viel zu schräg, sodass ich unten meine Knie im Weg habe und oben fast ausgestreckte Arme habe. War wohl auch nur der kleine 125PS aber ich denke die Geometrie ist ja auch bei den anderen Motoren ähnlich.
+timol125 Ja, aufrecht sitzen geht eher schlecht, die Sitze sind auch zu kurz, mehr als 2 Stunden in der Haltung ist kein Genuss. Aber das Problem hast Du mit über 1,90 in fast jedem Auto. Ich kenne es garnicht anders, bis auf ganz wenige Ausnahmen ;)
+timol125 Hmm, also zumindest im Polo Blue GT mit 1.4 Ltr.-Maschine wurde es ganz gut gelöst. Bin ca. 2 cm kleiner als du und konnte derartige Dinge nicht feststellen. Naja ich schätze, selbst kleine Größenunterschiede können da zu erheblich unterschiedlichen Fahrerlebnissen führen und kleinere designtechnische Differenzen im Cockpit gibt es wohl auch.
Shakrom Muss auch dazu sagen, dass ich relativ lange Arme und Beine habe und gerne tief sitze. Außerdem ist der A1 vermutlich nicht zu so sportlicher Fahrweise ausgelegt, sodass das schräge Lenkrad für Normalfahrer auch kein Problem ist. Würde mich mal interessieren wie es im S1 oder auch Ibiza Cupra ist

Have a remapped 2016 seat ibiza its nothing zpecial but very nippy the only thing that bothers me is if tbere is a slight bit of rain and i have got the window open a fraction being a smoker i get a stream of water comming through the window.
Hey Guido , i can understand they cost the same in Germany : the prices of the Polo Gti in Romania is almost 20 k and the Cupra is 17 k so 3 k it's quite a big difference since on the end of the day you get the same engine ; i'm a vw fan but these days evrything made by them get more and more expensive

This little shit weighs more than my Corrado with the 2,9l engine? Lol. Btw I don't think I've ever got wheelspin in 2nd with mine. Don't even get it in 1st, when it's dry. That's the advantage of a lot of weight on the front wheels on a FWD car - lots of traction.

+lgliam depends very much. A Scirocco 1,4 TSI has more understeer than a 2,9 Corrado. Based on weight distribution, you would guess the exact opposite. But there's a lot more that plays into a car's handling than weight distribution.
+stoneeh The Corrado is really that light ? 1260kg ? That's impressive :) I wish VW would launch a new Corrado. Such a cool looking car. Sadly I hardly ever see them here in germany. All roasted by tuner kids :(
TheGetawayer 1220kg. Mine is basically stock, except for some slight performance enhancements (like carbon hood, the lightest weight wheels for the size, etc). No rice whatsoever ;). Yeah, I was so looking forward to the Scirocco as a Corrado successor, but driving it was a huge disappointment!
+stoneeh the ibiza has basically the same size as your corrado (or a Golf III ). I find it interesting that, despite all the modern day safety and luxury stuff (thats missing on older cars) the wheight is not even higher.
What about fitting it with a quaife diff? That would sort out the traction issue, I suppose

Nice review!! I drove the last Cupra with the 1.4 TSI engine...the car was fun to drive but it was not THAT exciting nor demanding.
Another issue with the 1.4 engine was its problems, the Supercharger and turbocharger working at the same time, caused a lot of issues on that engine. I knew a guy that had a Polo GTI with the 1.4 and he was on the second engine replacement...so, not a good engine at all. This 1.8 I am excited for...maybe I can test one here in Portugal.
By the way...there's a new Leon Cupra out there, maybe Seat lend you one of those!! :D Take care!
+David Araújo Yeah, try one it's fun ! I heard about the engine problems from my Seat pr-contact, so no holding back on that, haha. I am switching to the 290 next week, but it will be a DSG car I think ;)
Here in denmark the polo gti cost about 70000 euro, so i have but the Ibiza for about 35000 euro.And I´m looking forwere to geting my car.Great video. ;-)

Two cars in one. The girlfriend working at the hair salon can drive to work calmly, then the guy can rev the nuts out of it in sport mode on a country road, or the girlfriend might if she's cool! Cars of any type fulfilling multiple roles are very appealing. Great review as always!

Great video. I think VAG is missing out by not sending the Polo to the US. I am not sure if they make them in Puebla MX or not, but I think the Polo would really mix it up with the Fiesta, Sonic, and other small hatchbacks.

+S Miller Really ? That doesn't make sense if its a Sport ESC setting, right ? It didn't say off, but yeah. Without TC no change to get the power down in the wet anyway
TheGetawayer At least it does in the 1.4 Cupra/FR but I have the same problems with TCS off which suggests it hasn't changed. I struggled putting 140hp and 250nm down out of a damp corner and then had it tuned to something like 177hp and 320nm and now I turn TCS off because it just carries on going forwards.
Anyone knows if its possible to fit a LSD on this Cupra?

Hey Guido. Machst du nur Reviews von Neuwagen oder würdest du auch mal ältere Gebrauchte testen? Würde dich gerne in einem 4er oder 5er Golf R32 sehen. Deine Meinung zu diesen Fahrzeugen würde mich sehr interessieren!
Generell nur Presswagen, weil das Filmen und Eindrücke gewinnen auf meinen Hausstrecken schon sehr viel mehr Zeit braucht, als man vlt annimmt. Ich filme ja alles selbst:) Deshalb bin ich dankbar, wenn ein Hersteller mir mehrere Tage oder sogar zwei Wochen Zeit gibt, mit einem Wagen. Mag nach reiner Spaßfahrt aussehen, aber es steckt wirklich Arbeit dahinter. Das ginge mit Privatwagen so nur schwer:) Grüße, Guido

Also beim Verbrauch liegt der BMW denke ich klar vorne, egal ob bei sportlicher oder moderater Fahrweise
Mir gehts mehr um das handling, fahrwerk, Sitze, beschleunigung,
Mit welchen hatten Sie mehr Fahrspaß
aber auch praktische sachen wie Kofferraum
Lohnt es sich mehr geld in den BMW zu investieren, denn immerhin gibt es kaum gute Gebrauchte 120d zum Neupreis eines Ibiza Cupra
+Bronson The Great Wenn ich Dir sage, dass ich privat auch einen 120d fahre und damit mehr als happy bin, ist das bestimmt schon mal ein Hinweis ;) Grundsätzlich sind das zwei völlig verschiedene Autos. Für mich hinkt da der Vergleich. Der Ibiza ist ein kräftiger City Flitzer, weniger Platz und nicht so komfortabel auf Langstrecke / Autobahn wie der 1er. Heckantrieb VS Frontantrieb, schwierig, Sitze kommt bei BMW auch drauf an was man einbauen lässt. Am besten mal beide Probefahren, durchrechnen was wirtschaftlicher ist und am Ende selbst entscheiden ;) Grüsse

ja von Versicherung sind beide nahezu gleich. Ich fahre zur zeit ein 2002er v6 Hyundai coupe. Mit dem Cupra hatte ich schon das vergnuegen allerdings den 1.4 DSG (wuerg! es lebe die handschaltung! es war aber nur das DSG und der kleine Motor die mich nicht so begeistert haben ansonsten spaßiges kleines KFz) und im vergleich zum Coupe ist der etwas komfortabler. Es geht bei mir wirklich darum ein Spassmobil fuer Papa als Nachfolger fuer das hyundai coupe zu kaufen, da der Familienkombi schon vor der Tuer steht.
Dann werde ich den 120d mal Probefahren (sollte aber wirklich mit Sportpaket sein. Also mindestens das Sportfahrwerk...) Mich reizt ja wirklich der Heckantrieb, damit kann man bestimmt auf rutschigen freien Flächen viel Spass haben...
