I'm a huge Ryan Laukat fan! Amazing production, great mechanics and beautiful thematic artwork. Another great Red Raven game I need on my shelf. Thanks for highlighting it!
This seems to be a very promissing cool game and actually a very good interview!! I dont know if you remember me but I was the guy giving you very harsh critique back in the days for one of your boardgame interviews that I didnt like at all. And after that I was very surprized (and amazed) that even while my critique was very hard you accepted it and thanked for it saying you want to do better in future. In my opinion this video showed that you keep promize and do a very good job in doing an short but on point preview of a boardgame. Awesome! Keep on, you are great!
Great video looks like an awesome game as well. I’m also a big Studio Ghibli fan so great to hear that the designer got his inspiration for the artwork of his games from those films.
Thanks for watching and you are right! Ryan showed us the prototype in this interview 4 years ago. Since then, he probably received lots of good feedback from playtest session prior to the KS launch and incorporated them in the final iteration.
I think Ryan played Monkey Island in his youth and took inspiration from it. I’m playing the dutch translation with my family. Everytime I look at the atlas I expect Guybrush Threepwood to run through the bushes.
I did the "you are lost in a boat and must find your way home thing" with one of my published adventures for Dark City Games. Only I did it with airships! Looking forward to this one.
The faked enthusiasm for one thing. Questions like how does one win, which is irrelevant to campaigns, where the non/linearity and decisions is the thing to ask.

You're welcome Tim! We are really looking forward to this one too!

I don't how I missed this comment 10 months ago but I'm glad I caught it today. Thank you for the kind words of encouragement!
Interesting how this game evolved from this interview to what it really is now :)
Thanks for watching! I know what you mean lol. The interview was done before the Kickstarter and now it already has several expansions!
Great interview!! Loving your channel!!!
Thank you for watching and for the compliment!

Thank you for watching! We are big fans as well and it's fascinating to see how Studio Ghibli profoundly influenced many artists/designer of our time.
Wow the ability cards and turn structure changed a lot prior to launch!

I love this game and now am feeling compelled to get Sleeping Gods: Distant Skies, which is not an expansion, but appears to be an entirely new game.
Thanks for watching! We have already back our copy of Distant Skies ;)

Did a little research... is it Upon the Wind?
@@ShowMeHowToWin Yes!
just looking to play it
Thanks for watching!
This sounds really cool
Ready to jump on a boat with me? lol
I love the game, but not the title. I always say Sleeping DOGS, the video game 😂
Thanks for watching! Though the gods in the game are kinda dogs so you may be onto something here ;)
Love it, but the interviewer is not a board gamer
Here is a link to Jackie's Instagram where she captured over 500 board games she has played - instagram.com/boardgamesetc/
@Kosteri x, what makes you think that the interviewer isn't a board gamer?
you can't name a game Jackie won't crush you at.

How she pronounces it like jibbly body language everything really, she doesn't care. While I do.
