This band had a couple of heavy hits in the mid 80's - "The Warrior" (which the Netflix show "Glow" uses as its opening song), "Beat of a Heart", "Only The Young" (which actually became an even bigger hit for the band Journey when they covered it). Excellent reaction, as always.

In my opinion,Patty Smyth and Scandals best song was "Hands Tied" from 1984, "Goodbye To You" is a great song,but too much like the Go Gos. "Hands Tied" definitely shows how much Scandal had matured in 2 years with their songwriting and playing,and Patty's vocals were in top form.
Bring back great memories of the music of my high school years. The next Scandal song should be "the Warrior." Another Female 80's artist to check out would be Nena with "99 Luftballons."
Eddie Van Halen asked Patty to join his band to replace David Lee Roth but she was 8 months pregnant and couldn't do it at the time, so he got Sammy as his second choice.....they kept it on the downlow so Sammy wouldn't feel like leftovers.....lol...
