- Cole's 2nd gen Cummins started life as a clean grandpa owned 2000 5 speed 24v, but he's been slowly making it his own over the years and upgrading it to be his dream truck. In this video, we walk through the current state of this build, which is sporting a 3" Carli Suspension Dominator system, 37" Toyo MT Tires, 17" Robby Gordon wheels, and about 500hp to the wheels.

Those Robby Gordon wheels fit this truck perfectly reminds me of the really nice trucks back in the day
That was exactly the goal!

Love a clean 2nd gen.
Pretty cool to see you build almost the exact truck from your college days
That was the dream! The same truck, but this time with much nicer parts from end to end.
I’ve got a 2nd gen that needs some work. Hopefully someday.
Let’s see that 3rd Gen!!!! Another beautiful truck! Great job as always fellas!
We'll post it soon! Still finishing up some final details.
Love it. Clean. Classy. Simple.
Wow just an awesome 2nd Gen done up perfectly 👍👍
Omg dream truck wow ❤
There is a super clean, all stock second gen for sale near me. And this video is making me want it.
Go for it!
Clean and tasteful.
i want a second for a project blacked out sitting beside my 23 would be stellar
Very nice, Looks great!
i love this thing. i need one!
Are those after market headligh units or just a certain bulb? Looking to upgrade my 2002 so I can actually see at night.
These are sport headlights with an LED bulb swap. Output is passable, but there's going to be a much better option on the market in a few months!
@@CJCOffRoad Thanks! I'll stay tuned then.
@@CJCOffRoad It's been 5 months. Any update on that? LOL
Love the truck what would be the best lift and steering kit for the 98 1500 4x4
What headlights are those? Link?
I would like to do the same but with a 3500 dually. What would you recommend to go this route? Thank you
The system fitment is actually the same between single and rear rear wheel so that keeps things easy. If you don't mind, send us an email with information about how you use the truck and a little guidance on budget and we'd be happy to recommend a setup for your needs! Sales@cjcoffroad.com

The fender liners fit ok even after you sectioned the fenders?
Yeah they're able to stretch just enough.
Do you sell Robbie Gordon's wheels by chance or any link to where to get them? I've looked around but can't find any.
Sadly they're long discontinued!
@cjc What kind of work did you guys do to it to get to 500whp ? 🤔
It has tuning, turbo, injectors, etc etc. It's a pretty built setup and plenty of fun to drive.
Nice love the truck !
Stock gearing 3.55?
Correct! Since it has a manual, it does just fine on 37s and we have no plans to re-gear.
With the 37s, did you regear the diffs?
Not on this truck since it's a manual. Plenty happy with how it drives on the stock 3.55 gears.
@@CJCOffRoadif one has an auto and wants to go to 37s, would you recommend regearing?
In that situation, likely 4.10s. Ideally you'll want to use a gearing calculator online to plug in your stock tire size, stock ratio, new tire size, and then determine the necessary ratio to get back as close as possible to the stock ratio. That will ensure proper shift points on the transmission. This is our favorite calculator: tiresize.com/gear-ratio-calculator/
Been waiting on this video lol
