Two-way roundabouts seem like a distinct piece of architecture here. This made wondering whether Matt is held a hostage in some damp basement of architecture school. Give us a sign mate, we'll come and rescue you.
The day has finally come. I shall rally electrical engineering troops, we will even forget about your remark questioning if we are actually engineers in one of the videos. Hold tight there, I am still hopeful that Matt has not been brainwashed as he noticed those twisted abominations among city buildings.
I feel like we are seeing Matt's villain story. He's slowly devolving into an architect in these games lol. His love of night cycles, improper use of roundabouts, etc...
The synthwave Bridge review is my favourite part of the video. Please include more (plus architects hate them too, so all the more reason to add them).
Everyone is saying the round about making it worse but the main thing is Matt is just building one long road. He would do better with small districts connected by short one way highways
It's great - Matt dancing in adverts is amazing. This is the true engineer version of advertising instead of all these architect methods. We must promote this great revolutionary anti-architect form of advertising and spread it around the world.
I think the best part of this video was the sudden realization that RCE is a real engineer who truly loves what he does. Good on you man for finding your passion in life and embodying it
(developer here) Yep, this just allows to put a road through the forest, without removing it completely. You gain this resource back if you remove the road through forest.
The key in the game is connecting everything with roundabouts and building two or more streets for one route, so the traffic has multiple options where to go
you disappoint me, the twisted buildings are engineering! the twist prevent wind from catching an entire face at once and acting as a sail, so the twisting make the building more secure by reducing the bending
17:20 What do you mean by mat that is not a acitect it is an amazing feat of engineering as it lets wind slide right off and not risk the integrity of the tower.
I bet if you placed one-way roads in- and out of the round-abouts, your traffic problems might have ended ^^ Edit: I wrote this before you changed it 😂 Good job Mat!
Day eighty seven of asking Matt to add the Second Narrows Bridge, Ironworkers Memorial to the Wheel of Bridgetune It is a cantilevered truss bridge, carrying 6 lanes of traffic from Vancouver to North Vancouver in B.C. across the second narrowing of the Burrard Inlet. It's name comes from the fact that it collapsed twice during construction, which unalived 23 people in total (Hence the name, ironworkers memorial).
Holy hell. When this video started I was like ugh... this game looks like one of those cash grab POS games. I actually almost didn't watch it. Glad I stayed because this game seems really nice. Great work!
I wonder if he primarily produces video content as his job or if he is both producing content and working a "9-5" as an engineer? I see the pros and cons of both if he loves his job but i hope he has reached the success on youtube needed to have the freedom of choice.
I was born in a french city which has a triple roundabout. No junctions between them, you just happen to find yourself in another roundabout. It's really disturbing. I thought you were about to create that hellish site. But no, thankfully. Always put junctions between roundabouts. Always !
Matt forgetting how to build a proper roundabout is the most architect thing ever
I came here to say this 🤣
He became the very thing he swore to destroy
Too much focusing on knob jokes
YOU TAKE THAT BACK! RIGHT NOW!! 😂
@@lordkell1986
Not enough
Two-way roundabouts make it worse, not better, Matt!
I will not have your slanderous non-roundabout propaganda!
@@shrimperator6190 Roundabouts are terrific... as long as they are one-way!
Ever heard of a three way rounda about. It was made by an architect
Yeah that's not a real engineer move.
@@bananagaming7612 I think those are called 'traffic circles'.
your roundabouts being both directions causes the traffic jams which defeats the whole purpose of a roundabout
Real architect move by matt😂

He needs eggs! Quickly, start hoarding!

The software engineer corps are standing by to hack their netw--their password was 'password'.
Matt building roundabouts with only two arms and thinking it will somehow help with the bottlenecks...
When you think you're making roundabouts but instead you're just making a ton of 3 way intersections on curvy roads
I feel like we are seeing Matt's villain story. He's slowly devolving into an architect in these games lol. His love of night cycles, improper use of roundabouts, etc...
it would seem matt is so in love with roundabouts that he's blinded to how they should be built
Building a bridge across a body of water when you're only 1 space from where a road could have gone instead is 100% an architect move.....
I think the key is to use highways for your roundabouts to stop cars colliding with each other.
I like how Motorway Matt had a factory tile spawn along the coast to pollute the ocean/sea. Such an engineer thing.
I need Matt to play more of this game, AND NO 2 WAY ROUNDABOUTS!!
Please play this again!! That was so fun to watch!!!
Matt went full 'American engineer' here. Playing a game that humanises cars, and being in love with roundabouts.
I ordered 69 sweaters. So I can hand them out to freezing homeless architects in my area so they can regret their life decisions.
IQ
Nice
The synthwave Bridge review is my favourite part of the video. Please include more (plus architects hate them too, so all the more reason to add them).
yessssssss also do more of this game!!!!
Everyone is saying the round about making it worse but the main thing is Matt is just building one long road. He would do better with small districts connected by short one way highways
okay? where else would he build roads on those tiny islands?
It's great - Matt dancing in adverts is amazing. This is the true engineer version of advertising instead of all these architect methods. We must promote this great revolutionary anti-architect form of advertising and spread it around the world.

Would the axes you acquired clear the forest hexes to turn them into meadow hexes? Or are they used to allow you to built roads into forests?
Looks like it just costs 1 ax to build through forest, it doesn't seem to remove it
(developer here) Yep, this just allows to put a road through the forest, without removing it completely. You gain this resource back if you remove the road through forest.
The first editor to mock up RCE (Peter Griffin) vs. night cycles (giant chicken) gets a crisp high five.
I enjoy watching you play these tile games. I hope you try this one again or revisit some you played in the past few months.
Gotta love the lump-a-bout 😂
When your city is dying but you need to get that bridge review done
Matt: Finally gets a bridge
Also Matt: Places it on a single water tile practically surrounded by land.
The bridgemas sweater is 69.69 CAD? Was this done on purpose Matt 😂
No but it is a sign for Canadians to buy it 🤣
0:05 never thought id see RCE dancing
we need to make this a meme
The key in the game is connecting everything with roundabouts and building two or more streets for one route, so the traffic has multiple options where to go
I wanna see matt play a game called "bridge architect"
I dont even know if there is one already, but I think that name alone is perfect
I love how Milton Keynes = roundabouts is familiar to everybody in Britain.
Sleeping is the IRL way to fast forward through a night cycle...or a day cycle......or sometimes both cycles at once
Would like to see more of this
The Cody & Noel cameo was an effective jumpscare, thank you.
you disappoint me, the twisted buildings are engineering! the twist prevent wind from catching an entire face at once and acting as a sail, so the twisting make the building more secure by reducing the bending
Imagine if cities would just do everything in their power to stop traffic jams
0:08 Green Coast in English
i don't know why but i somehow want to see more of this from you dude
17:20 What do you mean by mat that is not a acitect it is an amazing feat of engineering as it lets wind slide right off and not risk the integrity of the tower.
Hexagons ARE the Bestagons!
12:19 Lag: So much FPS: 10 Causes: "Don't noticing that he get bridge for 1-2 minutes"
This game looks pretty challenging.
Facts Milton Keynes has like 8 roundabouts in a row
I would try staggered junctions since they don't have Lane control and one ways and yield signs and stuff.
Are you gonna play Sebil Engineering again? it recently released.
Round about after round about after round about? You pretty much built France lol.
I think I would have made a circle around the border of the ice cap in freeway road and had other roads spreading out like a web
When I see RCE dancing for the merry bridgemas sweater, it makes me think of UpIsNotJump. Who's name is also Matt..hmm
You should do a roundabout city in cities skylines! Where theres literally only huge roundabouts like you did on the second island.
We soooo need a part 2!! You gotta redeem yourself with this beautiful charming brutal game!!
Still better Traffic than Cities Skylines 2
Trafficnami?
What about a Trafficnado and if so, when will the Trafficnado T-shirts become available in the store?
Loved this little game! Hope you give it a shot again soon.
Ford's dystopian nightmare fuel dreams
I never miss an RCE video
Witnessed the red mini's death scene from "The Italian Job"
I bet if you placed one-way roads in- and out of the round-abouts, your traffic problems might have ended ^^
Edit: I wrote this before you changed it 😂 Good job Mat!
"Magic lights"... sounds suspiciously lot like "architect witchcraft" to me.
15:42 those aren't ferris wheels, they are vertical roundabouts.
My friend just says they want to be architect!
What should I do Matt?
Teach them about the horrors of architecture
It's not just the fact he made 2-way roundabouts that makes it hard to watch. It's the fact Matt kept on making more 2-way roundabouts.
And all of them only had 2 entrances, meaning a normal straight road would unironically have been better.
relatable, everyone is aiming for more beaches
Love you RCE
More please !!!! Massive Carnessnado :D
This guy is a bridge enthusiast, I am a retaining wall enthusiast (only in games, I have no real engineering knowledge)
For when Settlers of Catan had a traffic management extension
Those weren’t roundabouts, they were circular roads all linked together.
Factory in the snow cap, now you're mining oil in the snow cap...
At Merry Bridgemas you got my respect!
New expansion.
Catan: Civies and Architects
roundabouts are the best-abouts!
Really pretty game.
That traffic carnage reminds me of down town 😂
Please build a roundabout city in Cities Skylines 2! I made one in the first game and had a hilarious blast. I think you would too!
In this game, night time is Christmas time🤣
15:20 I just checked, mk really is just roundabouts
this game look fun

Roundabouts seem to have destroyed your island. Maybe only use them if you have an actual interaection?
why is there only a few days left to buy it? we arent even in december... its like selling easter merch rn

Youre perfect little english circles seem to suck not gonna lie.
Where is the mindustry guy lol
Physics-based traffic games are so funny
a moment of silence for when matt deletes the roundabout
You didn't have any bypasses Matt! You've got to build bypasses you know.
I love that little Cody co inclusion lol
Hexagons ARE the bestagons!
Hi Matt, until when can I buy the merry bridgemas sweater?
fun and nice looking game
These roundabouts get me mad Matt, you awoke the French guy in me (we're the first roundabouts country in France)
Holy hell. When this video started I was like ugh... this game looks like one of those cash grab POS games. I actually almost didn't watch it. Glad I stayed because this game seems really nice. Great work!
Hexagons are the Bestagons
Why didnt you do gighways for your roundabouts like you did in the first run? And then as i was typing this at 20:30 you mentioned going with highways
There’s enough roundabouts on the second map to choke a seagull
my guy really built milton keynes on the second island
more timberborn ?
