    I've been running these since they first came out with the 701's. Still my favorite wheel for ease of maintenance. Highly recommended.

    The only issue would be the spinning on the rim if wet ie: in snow, fording, et cet., feedback I have received from folks that have used both. However, still the perfect compromise to a true bead lock wheel.. These are the wheels I will be sourcing soon enough...

      We agree they are a great alternative to true Beadlock wheels. 👏🏻👏🏻

    So I like the wheels but can you get them in eight lugs offset too?

    Will they ever make them to fit TJ/XJ and ZJ' which have 4.5 x5 stud pattern?

      Swap in a JL axle set. Huge upgrade over those axles and still not crazy wide

    So, if they are that difficult to get on the bead, how exactly do you get them off without destroying the tire...and wheel?

    • @427saleh
      @427saleh 9 месяцев назад

      It's more difficult to take it off i have it on my FJ CRUISER, i bought a set of new tires on of them have an issue so when i went back to the agency to replace it, believe me they suffer a lot to take it out and the tire was destroyed totally
      I don't recommend those wheels with bead grib cuz if for any reason u need to take the tire off the tire will be destroyed

      @427saleh I ended up getting a set for my FJ Cruiser as well. Hoping for the best. I have a set of 5, using a tire I've run completely trouble free in the past. They didn't having any issues getting them to bead up anyway.

    On a 40x13.5 tire, how low of a PSI can you go without breaking the bead?

    • @Koulnis
      @Koulnis 6 месяцев назад

      It depends on the compound quality of the rubber, among other things. I can't speak to 40s, but I can easily air down to about 8 psi with 35" Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires. Some other offroaders/content creators have had air escape between the rim and tire (they thought due to debris) but the tire kept on at 0 psi.
      Best recommendation I can give is to have a recovery mechanism for your tire in case, whether that's using the foot of a hi jack to reseat it or otherwise.

    Anyone running 255 85 17s on 8.5 rims? Do you have to worry about the thinner tire when airing down?

    • @JohnBrowningsGhost
      @JohnBrowningsGhost Месяц назад

      No. Narrower tires outperform wide tires at the same PSI as far as foot print goes.
      Ie
      A 285/85r17 will have a smaller contact patch at 15 PSI than your 255/85r17 would at 15PSI.

    are they street legal?

      These are DOT approved. They don’t have any parts of the wheel that can “fall off” like traditional beadlocks
