Robin then decided to get a new reptile and went to Count D's shop, he had previously purchased many lizards from the Count, who decided that it was time to show him something "special", the Count introduced Robin to a lizard that took on the form of a woman, and when Robin asked why the woman was kept blindfolded, the Count revealed that the lizard woman was actually a Gorgon that was bred to be used as a weapon of assassination and told Robin the legend of Medusa, the most famous Gorgon who had the power to turn people that gazed into her eyes into stone
despite the danger, Robin decided to purchase the Gorgon who was given the same name as her legendary kinsmen, Count D even said that the Medusa had also fallen for Robin at first encounter and so he could not stop her from going with him, the presence of Medusa and his belief that she needed him as much as he needed her to live eventually motivated Robin to try acting again, another reason for his decision to try acting one last time was because his manager threatened to cut him off if he didn't get a new role as he could not keep living off his past fame
and so Robin went to the audition, but he still didn't get the role despite giving his best shot, because the manager of his rival was the lover of the movie's director, and so Robin became disheartened and considered at one point to use Medusa to assassinate his rivals, but ultimately decided against it and instead used Medusa to end his own life, Medusa was heartbroken and killed herself to be with him
even though the Detective that was investigating Robin's suicide case didn't believe Count D's story, he still returned to Count D the body of the lizard Medusa after autopsy was finished, and Count D decided to let Medusa's remains be buried together with Robin's body on the day of his funeral
