Fabric choice, yes! I've made the same pattern out of three different fabrics, and the fit was different every time!

I have a question about doing toiles. Is it okay to ignore the grainline when cutting the fabric for a toile? Thanks.
So glad you love the video. Oooh this is a great question! I personally try to cut following the grainline when making a toile but if I'm using scrap pieces of fabric then I'll just fit the pattern piece to the fabric and ignore the grainline. It's totally personal preference and is really just to be used as an overall assessment of the fit ❤
@@Tammy.Handmade Thanks for that. I'm relieved to hear it. I do try to cut on the grain as much as I can but I guess if it's not going to be worn after the fitting it doesn't really matter. 🙂
I would find content on RUclips so much better if our generous RUclipsrs would be much more succinct.. please.. a lot fewer words. Just tell us your 10 tips for a better fit.. and secondly, try not to repeat what others have said.. eg.. check the finished garment measurements; don’t put in all the “ ease” that patterns include. Etc
Wow this comes across as very rude! I make content that I personally like to create, my aim is always to create easy to understand videos but this just sounds like your very personal opinion 🤷🏽♀️ I have told you my 10 tips, if that’s similar to other knowledge out there that’s because that’s advice which is most beneficial…
People have different styles!
There are plenty of others on RUclips, just find another one who presents it the way you like it!

Not everyone is at the same level of sewing experience. I would have really appreciated this when first learning about fit. It is so succinct. Fitting can be complicated. Nice job!
