- The Walksnail Avatar System continues to impress me with each firmware update!
In this video, I'm teaching you how to create your own custom colored font sets for the Walksnail Avatar System. Beginning with firmware version 32.10.7, you can have an almost unlimited amount of colored OSD fonts that you can select, based on flight conditions, scenery, or personal preference!

This is really cool. I'm a DJI FPV Goggle guy, but you're right about not being able to see the OSD when bright. Red is good!

Sorry to bug again but can you tell me why the number in the out of the box OSD left bottom corner always stays the same, on my system 10.5 volts but sometimes is in red and other times is in white. My understanding is that this is the power going to the FC from the battery pack?
That number is what the WS system thinks the total lipo voltage is. if you are using a standalone regulator to power the WS system - depending on type of craft, it will show the regulated voltage. if you are not using a regulator and have connected the WS system to Vbat, you should see the full voltage. it depends on how you are powering the system really...
How did you supply power to the WS air unit?
my HDMI stopped working on the latest update (v28) :c. Also, is your usb-c loose?
My usb-c is tight. I have noticed though that my hdmi out doesn’t always work unless I plug in the hdmi cord after the quad is booted up and connected to goggles

Hi I followed video changed colors ok but with inav fonts all wrong any ideas bud cheers stuart
With the new version of beta firmware just released by walksnail / Caddx 28.32.10 Caddx has fixed the inav font problem.
With the new beta firmware, you don’t have to update fonts for inav, just select inav as the custom font type once you update the firmware on goggles and vtx.
@@Rogue_FPV done that bud but wanted to change colors but inav font seams to be in firmware
@@stubugs2 you can use / import the newest HD Zero inav fonts file. On Facebook I helped a user named @shannon baker test inav colored fonts files with walksnail. He can probably help with the inav font file.
what happens when it fails
If it fails there is a typo in the ini file. The names of the fonts must match description exactly
@@Rogue_FPV Thank you. I will double check and try again. You have any tips or advise to getting OSC on fettec/kiss ? I have OSD on all my BF quads but not on my one kiss quad
@@Dynamic_Aerial_Adventures with Fettec and kiss ultra, I think you have to set the osd type to HD Zero in the configurator for walksnail if I remember correctly.
@@Rogue_FPV you mean in the goggle ? In the kiss GUI I saw a VTX configuration tab and when you click it your options are TBS Evo, TBS unify, Tramp, and dummy . . . . So idk if you do it in there
@@Dynamic_Aerial_Adventures the Fettec alpha gui and Kiss Ultra gui are the only ones I use.
It’s set in the fc gui, not in goggles.
You can also set the goggles themselves to kiss or Fettec.
I can’t get a osd no matter what I try
when you arm the quad, do you see the quad change out of standby mode? If no there is a problem wit the TX/RX wires.
Did you do the CLI commands in betaflight to set the displayport stuff? If your msp isnt enabled on the uart your using the osd wont work eiither.
@@Rogue_FPV I did the cli thing where I subtracted one from the uart for the value, all it says is choose a channel instead of standby
I’m using a hobby wing 60a stack with the stock fc, I have the rx2 and tx2 wired up
@@Chromie21 what version of betaflight are you running?
@@Chromie21 make sure that you also entered " set dispayport_device=msp ", and that msp is turned on for your uart 2 in the ports tab. In the goggles, make sure osd is set to " betaflight ".
