I was almost immersed for a while there, then you whipped out the gold plated double barrel shotgun with a red dot sight and I remembered what game this is.
When I saw the aperture sight, I physically cringed and sighed. It’s a shotgun what do you need a sight for oh yea it’s that one with the one rifle bullet.

I'm a medic main, and I always love to build little field hospitals in that game. Just a place to go to heal up when the objective is being attacked. I don't really like BFV, but I love the fortification building.

I’ve never seen a player not only so dedicated to holding their position, but to defend it so successfully and have such skill with a stationary cannon. You make the weapon fun sir and I salute you.
This does remind me of the LindyBeige video about this 1942 battle where 21 anti-tank guns all by themselves were up against a 100 tanks in a daring last stand. Except of course that they had to figure out precise shots and angles and weren’t shooting and reload as if its a handgun.
Recently picked BF1 back up after not touching it since July On my second or third match I got three headshots at 300m range within about 45 seconds and immediately I was back in

a truly competent soldier who was always alert to avoid surprises. honestly I play like that too but in Battlefield 4. and the most real thing I saw in the video was the other allies standing in front of the cannon, there's always that one soldier who doesn't think about the team. There are times when it even feels like you're playing alone because of this.
Reminds me of my days in Planetside 2 fighting as an engineer. Would move with a squad alongside a tank and just repair it on the move. If we had to hunker down my automatic shotgun made short work of anything coming through the doorway. And if that wasn't enough, the chaingun turret was great because I could build it and then let someone else run it while I covered a flank or provided ammo for the rest of the unit. Good times, good times.

Back in my bf1 days the artillery cannons werent on some hills with scopes, we had artillery pieces in random roads or hills, one of em was just in the d point of the desert map, and not only that but the scope was just a rectangular hole with a box that blocked most of your vision, and you could get shot through it somehow.

Reminds of this one time in either BF1 or BF5, can't remember which. I got the map antitank gewehr and posted up in a windmill. I was ripping the enemy team to shreds. Never missed a shot that time and I was proud as hell of myself.

not really. there are fixed places for cannons. only way to move them where you want is to either tow them to the position or calling in an artillery truck

It always bothered me that trenches & emplacements were a feature brought to BF5 and not BF1
