I realized in high school that all of my favorite teas had calming properties and I have always had severe anxiety my whole life but as a child didn’t know it was anxiety I thought it was just my personality. I was later adopted as a teen and my new mom was obsessed with tea she always bought my faves and one day told me that every single one of my favorite teas had calming properties , we came the conclusion that as a child I subconsciously used these to calm my anxiety and they became my favorites because they physically made me feel better.

Yep mine too the rain made the flowers very heavy for a tall plant not supported by anything
Mine grew all last summer self seeded and i have chamomile everywhere even in zone 3b :)
It doesn't take up much sunlight letting it through the plants i find it helpful for protecting lettuce seedlings
Im making notes on what it gets along with where
It went weedy in a few spots but i dug it up for my mom to enjoy :)
I have a few flowers that went to seed already in a very hot garden spot so im going to collect thoes and dry in a paper bag

@@sarahneu8349 I think that's awesome you say that bc even though you're pagan you are seeing the Holy Spirit through her even if you don't realize it. :) There is story in the Bible of when Jesus was at Martha's and her sister Mary (not his mother) sat at his feet listening to him teach the Way of life (love). Jess is filled with the Spirit of Christ and that's such a beautiful thing when we see Jesus's Spirit manifested in such a plain way like with her peaceful soul, love for creation and mankind and a heart for teaching. :)

The sad side of that is those of us who have lost their sense of smell totally. For me the nerve sac was completely destroyed due to a concussion. It’s been 25 years and I’m beginning to forget what certain things smell like and the soothing benefits of oils, herbs, etc. don’t work when there aren’t nerves to convey the scent to your brain. Just lamenting a loss, sorry.

The best decision I've ever made!

This is my first ever garden and I look forward to getting up every morning and loving every plant and appreciating my family!

I put a plastic bag over it all to create a greenhouse. When seedlings sprouted, I thinned them out. Eventually I hardened off the little plants and planted it in my herb garden.

I heard yesrs ago that if you ate oranges (or anything very fragrant like that) while studying. Then ate an orange right before taking the test, you would be able to recall the information better. Not sure if it's true, but let's just say I ate a lot of citrus in grad school 😄. I loved the sound of you picking the flowers. It was very much like garden asmr for me 😊. Have you ever tried to grow Camellia sinensis (tea bush), for black or green tea? I considered it, but haven't pulled the trigger.

I read that too somewhere, that orange helps with clarity of the mind, and I absolutely believe orange oil/zest/scent can brighten your mood. Try peeling a tangerine and let the oil in the skin spritz (atomize) into the air around you if you're feeling grumpy or sluggish. When I've worn tangerine- or grapefruit-scented perfumes in the past (such as Clinique's "Happy" or YSL's "Babydoll") I ALWAYS get compliments from strangers-way more than with different scents. Citrus perks up the brain.

It makes me heart so happy to see little Ben right next to you learning all of this wisdom at such a young age. I can just see not only your farm living on thru him but your channel as well!! Good job mama!

Do you think Ben would enjoy having his own garden bed where he can grow his own little garden? You could help him plan what he wants to plant and help him learn about the upkeep with the plants. My mom did that with my sisters and I and we LOVED it! ❤️

Thank you for this video!! My chamomile is starting to finally bud and I wasn't sure when the best stage was for harvesting. Kitchen looks AMAZING!!! And I think it's no coincidence that the green of your cabinets is a perfect match for the leaves on those sunflowers.💚💛
