Because the IU Alum wanted Crean fired, and they got their wish. Watch out for Georgia in a couple years. Crean can recruit. He got Anthony Edwards in his first recruiting year at Georgia, and Edwards might be the nu. 1 pick in the NBA Draft. Also, Crean can develop talent. Archie is just a hothead.
I’m a Michigan fan, but in a dream I had twice months before, I predicted the end of this game exactly to the point of how they missed the final two shots and the end score 72-71. I told my dad as the game was coming to an end of the dream I had and he just kind of brushed it off, but when the game ended he was shocked that I could predict something so specific and he honestly didn’t care that Michigan had lost at that point. I don’t know why or how I could do such a thing but the moral of the story is you should listen to your dreams, they might have a deeper meaning.
If I could time travel only once, I would use it to go back and tell Tom Cream to have this team practice breaking the zone defense. For reasons... Oh and also I would buy a ton of bitcoin
No matter how good we were, we were never going to beat Cuse. The match up was TERRIBLE for us. Seriously, we would have had to shoot better than we have the past decade to beat that team. It's like Kryponite to us; height, length, athleticism, ZONE. It destroyed us.
I agree with you. It is interesting that we play Syracuse again early in this upcoming season. Ironically, they will have Ron Patterson, a player Crean offered a scholarship to then rescinded saying Patterson didn't make grades when, in fact, he did.
This was a great set of clips but It would be more accurate if this was labeled "Offensive Highlights." Cody Zeller's long rebound in the second half was the key play of the game, IMHO.
I wish Crean would have given more minutes to Jurkin earlier this season instead of Parea. Jurkin is a legimate 7 footer wih broad shoulders. Jurkin would have been an intimadating in the middle. Plus, Peter has some offensive moves in the post. Parea has no offensive moves. The reason IU is very difficult to beat is because there is no offensive liablity on the court. Everyone can score and will when the shot is there. Everyone talks about Parea's upside but I just don't see it.
Jurkin is just their for size and maybe a little defense. You must not have heard much about Parea but he is a freakish athlete. The dude can extend over 12 feet when he jumps and he is relentless when he crashes the boards. He just needs to be polished and he will be a stud.
There is no way that Parea will contribute more than Jurkin. Have you watched some videos of each? Jurkin shows excellent post moves. Parea has none. Who cares that he can dunk on a 12 foot rim? You obviously didn not see what I saw when Parea was on the floor. If Parea is so great why is he not getting minutes in these crucial conference games? Hollowell has taken over Parea's minutes because Hollowell has basketball moves. Just being an athlete is not being a basketball player.
to be honest, i didnt like his attitude this past year. he seemed like he could care less about playing. he was a very skilled player, but i guess he didnt like it there anymore
Zeller and Watford looked like crap against Minnesota tonight in the old barn. Watford did hit a couple late 3s. IU will not win it all if Zeller and Watford again lay and egg on the same night.
Lol! Do you even college basketball bro? You have no idea what you are talking about... Great win for Cuse and equally humbling loss for a solid IU squad.
We had the team to win it that season
so did we in 1975, 92-93, .....damnit
Miss that team why can’t we get talent like this every year now

@@BlantonDelbert It didn't end well for Crean or Archie.

How did Indiana now win it all that year
Coaching
Takes a special coach to not know how to play against a zone defense
Got screwed in the tourney shoulda went thru Indy got sent south
Such a great team!
At this point in the season we were unbeatable. Best team in the country right there, too bad we couldn't keep it together. Always next year!
I can't get enought of this. Loved Zeller's little fade away. If he adds this to his game, it will be a different level.
If I could time travel only once, I would use it to go back and tell Tom Cream to have this team practice breaking the zone defense. For reasons... Oh and also I would buy a ton of bitcoin
You can tell these guys just love to play Indiana basketball!!!

I am from Chesterton Indiana living in Bloomington. IU student.
It was real nice to see Hollowell contribute. He is going to be a difference maker down the stretch.

Guess I was wrong about Hollowell.
to be honest, i didnt like his attitude this past year. he seemed like he could care less about playing. he was a very skilled player, but i guess he didnt like it there anymore
Hollowell is finding out now he is in the...B1G...not in HS anymore....
At 2:20 Cody's put back dunk hits the Michigan guy on the head. Ha! To funny.
Zeller and Watford looked like crap against Minnesota tonight in the old barn. Watford did hit a couple late 3s. IU will not win it all if Zeller and Watford again lay and egg on the same night.
#1 probably.
