      I started a planner, a food diary, AND a personal journal all because of Lindie!! It’s so exciting even if it seems like a pain in the beginning, now every day I look forward to sitting down and writing and decorating them.

    린디 선생님!!!!!!!!!!!!
    You've been my very motivation while I was learning korean. You made me realise how language learning is not about cramming , but about being patient and being immersed.
    I've been watching your vocabulary and grammer study video atleast two times a day for the past two months like crazy.........I really consider you as my very teacher who motivates me....

    I'm also making my language learning plans for 2021 three months at a time. I often feel like I should push myself more but I saw that doing too much I end up doing everything superficially. And I don't want that. I want to go deeper into the languages I'm learning. My main focus for the beginning of 2021 will be Korean and I will also study English a lot because I'll take the IELTS exam in March or April (it depends on the Corona Virus situation). Thank you for the constant inspiration Lindie, Merry Christmas :)

You can do it in your own pace and if you change your mind, then that's ok too. Life has so much to offer and time runs by so fast. We don't have to stick to plans we have made... we are always free to adapt. Sending love and all the best to you and your loved ones. Merry Christmas and have a wonderful rest of the year. ❤️

    Your quarterly schedule makes me think about the Scrum/Agile methodology at work. We basically break down work in tasks and make a list of tasks to accomplish in one sprint (2 weeks time usually). After two weeks we review the tasks done and learn that we might not be as fast as we thought or (for example) vocab takes longer than planned. We take this knowledge and plan the next 2 weeks, ....

See taking things slowly and chill will be much better to build habits and stick to them as for me I keep watching polyglots, language learners and they're studying hours and hours in a day but guess what I'm completely chilling 'cause I'mma student and I have so many things and classes to take which means that I'm setting my priorities first and I'm happy with the progress that I've made! • @SomedayKorean
      @SomedayKorean 3 года назад +1

      @@AfroLinguo Depends on the person, I suppose. I like the process of setting goals because it makes me really think through what I want to accomplish and where I envision myself in a year (or however long the time span is that you're setting goals for). It's also fun for me to look back at the end of the year and see if my motivations/priorities have changed throughout the year.
      Whether or not you set goals, though, is totally up to you. If you have a study system in place, then it sounds like you're set up for success as well. It probably wouldn't hurt to set some goals, though, because I find that after setting goals, I often get a boost of motivation haha. Again, totally up to you, though.
