    I came to show a friend what martelo do chao was, and I loved how detailed you were and how you broke down each way to do it. I love this movement, it's one of my favourites!!

    I learnt chapéu de couro starting from the movement your video shows at the end, in slow montion and not from a half-standing base like shown in the tutorial. Lateef Crowder did it that way too. You basically drop back for esquiva, then you wipe close to the ground with your leg (almost a rasteira) and that same leg goes half way up first before dropping to the ground to become the second base point for the kick (first base point is your hand). Then you kick almost like a chapada but in a funny angle. Cheers!

    I'm watching you from Nova Scotia, Canada! Was that an S-dobrado you snuck in there at the end? That was AWESOME!!!

      @CapoeiraTrainingClub  2 года назад +1

      Nova Scotia! Haha. I guess that last chapeu de couro turned into more of a Macaco to looks like an S-dobrado. Thank you for watching and commenting! Now you can follow our progress on IG @Capoeiratc - we’ll also be posting more videos in the future. What would you like to see more of?

      @@CapoeiraTrainingClub I'm just getting to know your channel but I'm always interested in seeing progression breakdowns to provide an upgrade pathway to learn to do new, challenging movements, and even (as an older person) progression breakdowns for helping accustom the body to some of the more basic movements. For example, the Método Capoeira channel had a great video about descida básica variations that helped shed some light on ways to make this position more fluid for old stiff guys like me. But I'm also ambitious and believe that, with consistent work, I can eventually nail even many of the more advanced movements, even though it may take years.

      @@jamesmunroe6558 thank you for sharing. You are right. I’ve seen it. Stay consistent to build your strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination. You’ll unlock more movements and skills as you develop these building blocks.

    Is there any other faster way to execute this kick without telegraphing?

    @CapoeiraLifeAddict I love this move and I love Lateef Crowder(just throwing that out there) but my curiosity is do there teach punching and elbow strikes in Capoeira or not and I'm not a practitioner but I really want to however there's not much information as from what I've seen can you do a video on Capoeira as a whole for general information? I just don't want to take up Capoeira and be miss lead and taught wrong oh and do you think they would teach Portuguese if I asked them and thanks for any and all help you can give 😁

    • @CapoeiraTrainingClub

      Shanna! I love your enthusiasm. I do agree Lateef Crowder is a beast. Capoeira does have hand strikes, and we'll even do head butts during the capoeira games. In my group hand strikes are a bit more offensive, so we tend to be more careful when we use them as they may start a more heated type of game. Much of the training you will receive in capoeira will depend on who you train with, many instructors come from Brazil and train in portugese. Many of use learn to speak it, through the music and to better communicate with the Mestres. In my school, we are required to speak Portuguese before reaching a professor level. Let me know what part of the world you are in, and I may be able to ask around to see what schools might be in your area. There may also be other subscribers, who can help. Also, thank you for the video suggestion. I've found it hard to describe catch the essence of Capoeira on a video, but will definitely work to do my best!Axe! (It means good vibes in Capoeira lingo)

      1.awesome I love axe's so that works :) 2.I'm in Minnesota and for me I'm Portuguese so to learn to speak my ancestors language is vital well at least for me plus on the aspects of Capoeira I like to view it like lucha libre as in it's something that represents your heart and soul it's something of grace beauty individuality it's respect honor and loyalty a way to show the gods and the audience who you are as a person and as a warrior there's friends family it's a peaceful and unique way of life buts that's just what I can see and feel from watching Capoeira and lucha libre 😁 maybe I'm wrong who knows I'm content with it

      oh I almost forgot with your clothes in Capoeira are you allowed free expression with it or does it have to be all white just asking cause I've seen videos where they have different colors and patterns but read that the pants have to be white so just a bit of curiosity oh and if you do a video on Capoeira how about just covering it in parts with others from your Rhoda I think I spelt that wrong anyways like clothes(color baggy vs tight etc) history cords(colors ranks lengths etc) music(instruments and meaning) media(movies video games etc) different styles as in I've seen some people say there's combative and show exercise(like tai chi) gets confusing. sorry for bombarding you with questions just drawn to it

    Most powerful kick nah look up "Do Mawashi Kaiten Geri" its from Kyokushin Karate, a kick using your entire body combined with centrifugal forces out to a focused point happening to be your foot. Basicly, your kick will be a hammer compared to a sledgehammer. I dont disrespect either this kick or Capoeira, I respect all martial arts but sorry mac its not the most powerful. However it was confirmed the most powerful on Fight Science in the scenario it was given.
