Italy may not be influential for those who know nothing about the history of music and it is actually a fact that we have very few rivals in europe in terms of international sales and number of songs translated in every possible language from the late 50es up to today. Ask the finnish how many italian songs they have adopted through the last decades. Hundreds, starting fom Aikunen Nainen. I mean, it's good to ask somebody not to be ego-maniac, but at the same time people like you should work on their inferiority complex. Lordi won because of their masquerade not certainly for their song that very few remember. And by the way that song is a dreadful schlager metal. Some Italians may be full of themselves, but they surely know how to distinguish chocolate from sh*t when they deal with music.
