    A Brucey Magic Bug!! Nice job bud!! Check out some of the UV resin for in place of the head cement. Game changer for sure. Hey, don’t be afraid to tie some up with about half as much skirt material 🤫

    Why not wire the skirt. I tie a bunch of jigs but with rubber skirts I tend to lean towards wire. Great video.

    Beauty lookin' jigs!
    I use a toothpick and dip into my head cement for solidifying my threads. That way I don't get any on material. Then I'm always paranoid about if it stinks in the water so I'm dousing the bait in scent 😅😂

      I used to worry about the scent, but then remembered it’s a ball of toxic lead lol

    Enjoyed your video. Where do you buy your skirts from?

      Thanks Aaron - I’ve got a collection from the last 15 years that I pull from, lol, haven’t purchased in a long while

      Brilliant. Thank you for taking the time to reply. As a fellow penny pincher the silicone skirts the one that always seems overpriced compared to every other aspect of pouring your own jigs.

    What’s the trick for keeping the hook eye clean?

    • @ScottinEC
      @ScottinEC 7 месяцев назад

      Shrink tubing. Slicker than snot!

    • @slamer5811
      @slamer5811 7 месяцев назад

      put very small shrink tubing over the eye before you dip it in the powder paint or fluid bed.

    • @jamiebrucefishing
      @jamiebrucefishing  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hit it harder on the powder jar, lol, usually don’t have an issue there, but the shrink tubing would give it a paint less eye which would surely be better

    What twig you throwing those on?

    Good stuff there bud! A little bit of 1/8 or 1/16 shrink tubing on the eye will save paint getting in there. Just a little quality of life bump.
