Thanks for watching! Be sure to let us know what your favorite makeovers are. Will you be making any changes to the curb appeal of your own home this year?
You ladies managed to do what every person on the planet ask decorators constantly. And they fail! We want REAL life examples! Houses like our own! I'm sharing this video as much as I can. Thank you
Hadn't thought of it like that until you pointed it out. But it really is nice to see real life examples of real life homes, not massive homes with unlimited funds! We're glad you enjoyed the video and are SO GRATEFUL for each and every share! 🙌🏻
Building a home was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had 😂 call e a nerd! I hope your building process has been enjoyable so far. We're glad you were able to get a little inspo from these ideas!
Your ideas inspire me soooo much! We sign in two day for a house with amazing bones on 1/3 of an acre....but with zero curb appeal: all white, flat front ranch with no porch and absolutely nothing going on with the lawn. Oh...and did I mention lots of cement that kind of goes nowhere due to a shared driveway and a converted garage? I'm definitely going to start with changing up the front door: painting it, removing the screen door, and hanging a wreath. Then on to creating a porch effect. I'm am not a decorator by nature, but I can copy things -- thank you for your awesome tutorial!!!
That's SO exciting Laurie! 🙌🏻 That's almost the best of both worlds if you like doing projects. Buying an existing home in an established neighborhood vs. a new build has its perks. And NOW you can bring your own creative touch into the details of your home. Sounds like you've thought through it all! We'd love to see some before and after pics if you don't mind sharing. Maybe we'd share them in a future video...you never know! Good luck with everything AND have fun!
Because my neighbor's giant tree dumps a huge amount of leaves on my property, I'm adding boulders & vacuming them up weekly. I'm also adding waterfalls & lighting to the boulders. I'm adding potted evergreens to both sides of my front door.
It's always a pain with we have to alter our landscape because of how the neighbors maintain their yard. Sounds like you have some great ideas in place!
Before painting brick one should consider that it is permanent (there’s no going back to the almost maintenance-free brick surface) and that it should be repainted every 3-5 years, according to the Brick Industry Association.
I made an expensive mistake. In my small garden, I Planted a strawberry vanilla hydrangea tree surrounded by several drift roses and two Knockout bushes. Well, it's fall, and everything in my garden is flowering plants, which will lose leaves and blooms, leaving nothing but two Cypress shrubs with color in the winter. I'm open to suggestions for winter interest. 😮🤔🙏
We've made the same mistake before. It's a good idea to take a picture of your yard at each season. This will help you get an overall look of what your yard is lacking. Take your pictures with you to your local nursery and they can help recommend shrubs or plants appropriate for each season. Ideally you want something to be the star of the show each season. For winter we like to have evergreens and dogwood for those reds and greens.
Pretty! I can see the transformation in my mind ❤️ Oh really? That's interesting. We know about lime washing products, which is probably more like a stain than a paint.
Painting the front door to make it "POP" has been around for a while. So is that idea outdated? My house has a door on each end of the front porch. The door we use has the top half as a window. The other door is solid metal. Which do I paint, and same color or different colors. BTW it's a farm house.
Your home sounds charming Judy 😊 Painting the door to make it pop is still in style. It helps draw your eye to the focal point of your home which should be your front door. It's hard to say which door to paint without seeing a picture of your home, but we would say paint the one to pop that you want to stand out as the focal point. Or in your case you could probably be ok to paint them both the same color

Yes, thanks for pointing that out.
But unless your brick is red, it’s painted by the supplier and require maintenance too?
Thank you ladies!

Hi what if its a rental sorry not sorry I cant paint the door I have a front porch but could only display 4 plants 😭
Working with a rental does come with some limitations. But we're sure you can make it feel like home even with some small updates.
I live in mn and have a storm door ha4d to make that pop
Yes, you definitely want to make the front door the focal point of your home
Love these ideas! Now I want to do them all!!
Go gett'em girl! 😆 And when you're done, you can come work in my yard!
Changing the red brick to charcoal black. Did you know you can stain brick? Its better than paint.

Thanks so much for watching!
It’s hard to listen to them when they dressed like that 🤔
Thanks for watching Nastaran
I mean I get you but they’re not giving us fashion advice 🙄 it’s curb appeal
I dont know what the Internet does to people that brings out such rudeness. Please practice some self restraint. It will improve your character.
