    Thank you so much, Investing is not for everybody, you just need a strong stomach too see your portfolio go down. It might be wiser for a novice to start with Index investing, but it is not easy. My point is that when investing you need education first. To invest in growth stocks it is another level, definitely you need to know what are you doing.

      From my own point of view, you need to invest smartly if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $255k in raw profits from just 6 months into the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy, mutual funds takes long time but investing smartly is the key for short term. Most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.

      I've been solely investing in real estate. But with the recent hyper home pricing i've liquidated a few things and have $318k in cash laying around idle. Would love to get your recommendations, I'm in search of something lucrative in the current crazy markets, i will be glad.

      @@katrinatyler675 My portfolio is very much diversified so it's not like i have a particular fund i invest in, plus i dont do that by myself. i follow the trades of Mrs Karen Gaye Gray. She is a popular broker you might have heard of. I can correctly say she's worth her salt as a financial advisor as her diversification skills are top notch, because i see that in her results as my portfolio grows by averages of 10 to 15% on a monthly basis, unlike i can say for my IRA which has just been trudging along, my portfolio just mirrors what she trades and not just on some particular industries of my choosing.

      By following her trades do you mean copying her trades? I have heard about copying trades

    • @bobschriswell565

      @@danielrichter465 Yes, exactly. It's all programmatic and automated, plus it's relatively much easier to set up and connect my accounts than creating a financial plan and drafting investment strategies myself, my account just mirrors her trades in realtime.

      Vancouver is a safe city and known for having many foreign students around the world. As a Filipino resident of Vancouver for 47 years, I can tell you that we are very friendly, compassionate, respectful and polite and we mind our own business. Ironically, most of the homes hosting foreign students are Filipino households that has skyrocketed in the past 10 years due to our popularity in hospitality and how we care for people. I have three friends who are currently hosting students from Europe who told them that the preferred hosts are Filipinos. Also, you may want to tell your folks that you can now work 40 hours a week while studying, that’s an extra income of $18-25/ per hour. Good luck

    I think I would prefer Manila weather, food and the nearby beaches to Canada ... a 1-2 month holiday there would probably be much cheaper there too vs Vancouver

    It's really tough to find friends here in Canada.
    Weed, you don't need to buy one as you can smell excessive smoke from neighbours.
    Driving in Canada is relatively safer than that of PH.

    Hi, thanks for your video! How do you find the weed situation in BC? I have the option to come to Canada for 4 months but I am put off with the idea of weed being everywhere. How do you find it as a non users?

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  4 месяца назад

      It doesn’t affect me at all. It is not as rampant a problem as it appears. People tend to smoke it in private settings are away from people. I did happen to encounter some people that smoke weed, it didn’t have any impact on me. Hopefully that helps ease some of your concerns. 😀

    Rachel, can I get housing accommodation in BCIT Burnaby campus even though my program is at the downtown campus

    • @SovereigntyParamount1994
      @SovereigntyParamount1994 Год назад

      I think BCIT campus itself does not have housing for students. However, there are many homes hosting foreign students in that area and it’s only one bus ride of 30 minutes to downtown Vancouver.

    Rachel, I have a question. Do you know how IRCC regards being a youtuber on a study permit? I'm gonna be an international student in Canada soon studying a BA and I want to start a vlog channel about it. But do I have to count the time I spend making the videos into the 20 hrs per week of work that's allowed, especially after the channel is monetized? Or even before monetization too?? I dont know. I have no clue. I always wonder this and I dont see people talk about this at all. Do you happen to know the answer??? Perhaps you could please make a video about this. I would appreciate this so much 🙏

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  Год назад +3

      If you start monetizing while in Canada and earn in CAD, it counts as part of your work restrictions as an int’l student 😊 so it would be part of your 20-hour work week and you may need to keep a tab of the hours you worked to produce that video via a log sheet in case that’s audited ☺️🤗
      I guess it’s not talked about as much because it’s so hard to regulate online hustles and there’s a bit of challenge reaching monetization on RUclips. Usually the pay is also low, but that depends on your niche and impact 🤗 regardless, I’d still go for it but take the necessary measures to make sure you’re abiding by your study permit conditions ♥️ better to be safe than sorry!

      @@rrdancel Thanks so much for the reply and advice. 😄 I'll keep this in mind when I'm there. I guess maybe it is qualified as a 'hobby' before monetization. Nevertheless, I'll be mindful of the 20 hrs allowed. I'm so excited to get to Canada plus to start vlogging. I don't think my life is interesting enough right now.😅

    • @jo_ellee
      @jo_ellee Год назад

      @@rrdancel Btw, do you think time spent filming a vlog should be counted into the 20 hours or just the time spent editing the vlog? Cause when you're filming a vlog, you're just going about your life but casually filming some parts of it, unless you're talking to the camera right?🤔 The filming wouldn't really interfere with my time...🤔 It kind of sounds like I'm making a technicality but I just wanna get a good understanding 😂

    Lived in Vancouver area, my whole life and now Phililppines. Also have children in both countries. I say this to my Filipina here. The women and men in Canada are 100 times more active and sporty with so many opportunities. The women in the Philippines do not have access to all these opportunities. Therefore, they are not active well most of them aren’t. Even in Whistler, I’ve noticed the Filipinos have a hard time integrating into an active lifestyle. I’ve seen one Filipino kid play hockey. Most of them do not participate in skiing or mountain, biking or camping. The list goes on and on my half breeds are pretty involved in sports in Canada. I’m worried about my ones in Philippines but once again, it’s not all everyone is their own person. And this may offend you, but Phillipina’s over here sorry to say, go downhill quite fast because of the lack of activity and also the food. Please don’t hate on me. I believe all these things to be true as I see it every day.

    • @rrdancel
      @rrdancel  Год назад +1

      Thank you so much for sharing this! I really appreciate it cos it paints a new perspective on how other people view living life in both countries. It’s true, some Filipinos have a hard time integrating given we weren’t exposed to the same environment that most Canadians have growing up here. I also carry that worry and think about how my future kids will adapt. There’s no need to apologize at all!! Your feelings are valid and we don’t have space for hate here, just learning and growth ☺️♥️ Thank you for sharing this and shedding light on your insights about living here 🙏
