I think he's just whispering because the acoustics in the tent are so good that anything louder than a whisper sounds like a yell. That or any other reason he may be whispering. Thematic appropriateness maybe?

It does lack the hoarse or raspy tone Grimm's ingame voice has, but I know from experience that that's rather difficult to replicate, and can be painful if done for extended periods of time. Ahh, I just can't get enough of Hollow Knight dubs :D

Naw, This is perfect in my book. A deep-ish, intimidating voice, a bit of an accent and a touch of superiority. It could have done with a bit of "R" rolling. Overall: 9.5/10
Very, very well-fitting voice. I can see this being Grimm’s official voice if Team Cherry ever gave all of the characters full-on voices beyond the nonsense babbles provided for most of them. Very splendid performance indeed.

My theory on what happened at the end of the second battle is that the heart was destroyed and now the grimchild is free to do its own thing and when it rebuilds the troupe they won't need to fuel the flame and can do as they please

I really really like this line delivery. He sounds almost exactly I imagined him. In some instances, it sounds like he is trying to rhyme, which makes it slightly unsettling when he doesn't. It would sound a little silly, if you didn't deliver the lines with such confidence, which instead gives a tone that he is naturally theatrical. I don't know where I was going with this, but it's amazing.
Everyone complains about grimm needing to sound like he has been smoking for like 50 years but i prefer it when he sounds like this, i don't like it when they sound silly
