Ok the new valve goes in with the burger tuning letters facing out or in? And it’s without the spring right ? No one else has a video how exactly it goes tbh.
Hey man! Thx for the video! I have a 2012 550i with n63 here and we very time I push throttle more than 5 min in a road, temps go to 122c and then the car looses all its power... after cooling and getting back to 110c it starts to get power again. Should this bypass solve it?
LOL why would you want your temps to be lower by more than 20 degrees? It'll gunk up the engine, wear it out much faster and it's bad for gas mileage. I forgot to take mine out during winter time and it takes FOREVER to warm up my engine or get heat.
@@CarGeeks I asked BMS about it and they replied right away, just as you did. I send them the set up I have and they told me I need the red one at this point I used to have one where the blue one was needed. Not anymore, need to order it soon because my temp gauges go to 255 when ever I go to the mountains.
You don't even need to buy anything to do the bypass....just swap the spring and the valve and done temps drop 20-25° f been doing this mod forever.....i know $60 is nothing but why spend it when you don't need it.
Had mine since I bought my car, they do work!
Hows it now?

Bypass will make a difference with oil temp. But you should definitely look into getting an air intake possibly an intercooler too.
We agree!
I hate to ask this I tried looking up what year and model you have. I was just wondering if it’s RWD or the xdrive and if it’s the v8 or v6?
All good. It’s a 2011 535i inline 6 RWD
Car Geeks right on I have a 2011 535i xdrive just started looking into upgrading. Love your videos by the way!!
Nice man. Thank you really appreciate it!
Would it be necessary to do the oil valve for a stock motor?
Yes most definitely!
i can not find this avail for 2013 f30
Can you measure this part with a caliper all around please!!!
I'm using this valve for my n54, it only drops my temp 10-20 degree! Why not more?!
Is your car completely stock?

Well you shouldn’t install it if you live in a cold place. You want it for a hot place like Florida where it doesn’t get cold lol
You put it in backwards.
I was just gonna say this.
Does it matter if you use the red or blue valve?
Yes it is based on the year

Only 4 views? People probably think this will not work.
Where can I get that front lip
I had it custom made you can’t buy it anywhere.
Stonks

Isn't is bad to run your oil at too low of a temp, and won't it cause more wear on the engine because it takes longer to warm up?
@@beckmarchiniak4034 smart thought.. Just consider how hot or cold it is where u live, plus it is removable.
