After watching other videos, I tried and tried to put on new pads. I actually threw the headphones across the room in frustration, and as a 68 years old mother of four and a retired RN, I have patience galore. You are the first one to explain and demonstrate so I was able to replace the pads easy peasy! Thank you, thank you.
You are a lifesaver, thank you for this! My pads have been in terrible shape (I’ve worn them almost daily for 4 years) so it was time for new ones. But it was so much trickier than I thought! Thanks again
Thank you. Mine have just started to peel but they’re still awesome headphones so I didn’t want to have to buy a new pair. Glad I can just get new pads.
Thanks for the video! I still struggled a bit at first because the ear pieces kept flopping around in their mounts, until I wedged some tissues between the ear pieces and headband to keep the cups in place and then it worked reasonably well and quickly. Probably got it done in 15 minutes or so.
Ordered the pads before looking up a how-to. Looked it up, saw the comments, got a bit annoyed at myself. Got the pads, followed your instructions, a standard toothpick for some finer work, and got them on in under two minutes. Thanks!
Thank you! One of the earpads for my HD 4.5 fell off, and I struggled to get it back on and gave up. Your suggestions, especially that of manipulating the entire pad and not just the skirting, enabled me to get it back on in 10 min or so.
I was struggling so much putting mine on, I'm so grateful for your video! You mentioning that it helped to pull up/on the whole ear pad to get the lining to line up with the insert space all around was super helpful. Thanks
Someone else made a comment about their Korean girlfriend using tape, and it is what really helped me. This video helped to know the stitching goes down. I put that stitching where it should be and put a 2-3 inch piece of electrical tape pulling the pad to the headphone, then worked it in to almost halfway up pulling the ear piece tight along the side that was inserted and put another piece of electrical tape here, again compressing the ear tightly down. With just these two spots held it made it pretty easy to work the other side in. Electrical tape is nice too in the sense that it doesn't really leave a residue. Then when I removed the tape I just twisted the earpiece a little so that it sat at the position it wants to. It took less than 5 minutes once I started using tape in the technique.
Thank you so much for making this video! I had so many previous failed attempts to replace my earpads but your instructions were very clear and helpful, I got the job done in just a few minutes! I'm autistic and have sensory processing disorder so noise cancelling headphones are an absolute must in certain situations (i.e. putting away ceramic dishes, handling styrofoam or squeaky plastics) or if I'm just having a rough day. You really saved me today, thanks again!
Got it done eventually, by hooking the earpads over, pulling the very edge over the gap and following it around. Thank goodness I binned the old ones - these new earpads make them look brand new again!

It's important to start just by sliding in and fixating a small piece of the earmuff. And then work you way around it. But it works. Thanks for the video.

However, I was not using these perfectly good headphones for the past one month just because one damned earcup had come off and I couldn't put it back on. Thanks again brotha 🤜🤛
Yes, you can hold it in place and work around the rim OR you can just use sticky tape to hold it in place (4 pieces per pad) once you've worked it in, then move on to tackle another 1/4. My wife used this method - she's Korean and they know how to get things done! Me, I was crying like a baby after 10 minutes - before I handed them to her.

Ok ...Thanks for the good start.... ! My HD400S has started playing out of one speaker. Wiggling the wire at headphones reconnects so I was looking how to dismantle and resolder loose connection.
Thanks for this video. I knocked my pad off one side, and when I looked at it I thought it was the worst design I had ever seen. I finally got it back on, thanks to this video. However, I will never buy another Sennheiser product. The entire design was just silly.
Seems good so far. Bit of a pain to put on but so would the originals be (I tried the old ones). These fill like they are too small but they are not, attempting the same with the old ones and they feel too small. You just have to get the top or bottom in first as in the video, hold it then move round slowly but you do have to pull a bit. I was being to soft at first but then eventually got the hang of it.
Actually, I’ve found there is a left and right ear pad. If you look at the skirt at the top (opposite of the stitching on the bottom) you’ll see L and R on both the original and replacement ear pads. The difference is subtle but just like the headphones themselves there is a left and right that you want to pay attention to for optimal experience/feel.
It took me about 10 minutes for both earpads! If you know the trick, it is quiet easy, you have to let the first part of the notch slip in (with a little pressure) and than just grab one piece after another of the notch (about 1 cm) and let it also slip into the groove..
Thank you so much for this Video. I'd have wasted a ton of time I didn't need to when I replaced the pads on my BT4.50s if it wasn't for your instructions. Legend!
seriously after insulting the whole squad of engineers that designed this earpads, I saw this video and it made it look so easy. Now I just gave up, otherwise I would have smashed the whole headset. I' ll try again tomorrow. But I think it's even more difficult as they sent me earpads with the thing to put in the little slit that is bigger than on the original earpads. Anyway that's it for today. Thanks for the tips
I did it !!!!! thanks for the support, I got back to it with calm and patience this time and it worked, it was extremely painfull though. Thanks again for the tips and sorry engineers.

Wiggling the wire at headphones reconnects so I was looking how to dismantle and resolder loose connection.
The 400S is similar to the 4.4 and 4.5 physically. I just have not actually done that to date.
Thank you for your video! Replacing them as been way easier with the way you did it!!
Great to hear that :). Thanks for sharing your experience and subscribe for future videos!
Just bought a new pair and while installing was not the easiest, once you get the hang of it was quick, like 10m quick
Correct, first attempt will be harder but overall 10 min or less 👍😁
Thanks. It's nice to see how it supposed to be installed, as opposed to trying your own way and breaking it. :)
😁👍
Thanks for the tips! It sounded incredibly hard but I did it under 5 minutes
😁👍
Thanks for this video. I knocked my pad off one side, and when I looked at it I thought it was the worst design I had ever seen. I finally got it back on, thanks to this video. However, I will never buy another Sennheiser product. The entire design was just silly.
Glad to hear the video helped 😁👍
Seems good so far. Bit of a pain to put on but so would the originals be (I tried the old ones). These fill like they are too small but they are not, attempting the same with the old ones and they feel too small. You just have to get the top or bottom in first as in the video, hold it then move round slowly but you do have to pull a bit. I was being to soft at first but then eventually got the hang of it.
😁👍
Very helpful video. I now have new pads on my headphones. Thank you.
👍😁
Actually, I’ve found there is a left and right ear pad. If you look at the skirt at the top (opposite of the stitching on the bottom) you’ll see L and R on both the original and replacement ear pads. The difference is subtle but just like the headphones themselves there is a left and right that you want to pay attention to for optimal experience/feel.
It took me about 10 minutes for both earpads! If you know the trick, it is quiet easy, you have to let the first part of the notch slip in (with a little pressure) and than just grab one piece after another of the notch (about 1 cm) and let it also slip into the groove..
Following his technique the whole process took under 10 mins. 👍
😁👍
Thank you so much for this Video. I'd have wasted a ton of time I didn't need to when I replaced the pads on my BT4.50s if it wasn't for your instructions. Legend!
Nice :). Happy to hear it all worked out and the video helped. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I just washed mine & wondering how to put them back...thnx for help 👍
Should be just like in the video. Have you tried and not been able to install them again?
@@accessoryhouse I did exactly the way u explained....It looked difficult at first when I pulled out to wash but ur video saved me..thnx
@@rahulraj148 😁👍 Nice one. Great to hear you got them on.
Very frustrating. I ended up grabbing some toothpicks and used them to hold the skirt in place as I went around. That worked pretty well.
Tape can help too 👍
Thank you. When I saw those screws I knew this is the way and you gave me hope.
Great to hear that the video helped you out :). Please subscribe for future videos, I have lots more coming out!
Nice :) Thanks a lot :) Useful and nice video. Much better than a tons of pages with warnings not to do :)
😁👍
Thank for all

seriously after insulting the whole squad of engineers that designed this earpads, I saw this video and it made it look so easy. Now I just gave up, otherwise I would have smashed the whole headset. I' ll try again tomorrow. But I think it's even more difficult as they sent me earpads with the thing to put in the little slit that is bigger than on the original earpads. Anyway that's it for today. Thanks for the tips
Where did it go wrong? Did you get any of the skirting in the slot?
I did it !!!!! thanks for the support, I got back to it with calm and patience this time and it worked, it was extremely painfull though. Thanks again for the tips and sorry engineers.
really really easy ... it only took me about 2 hrs on each pad !! imagine the nice words that came out of mouth !
I was devastated while fitting the first one 😂 but the second one too ez lol
Here are my timings (I started a timer to compare with others)
1st Earpad - 38 mins
2nd Earpad - 2 mins😂😂😂
You improved drastically o the 2nd one 😁. That means the next time should be super easy!
Yea for sure lol
Btw this is the first time the actual channel owner replied to my comment lol
Cheers was easy to do after watching you do it I won't have to buy spare pair know thank you 🙂
Great to know it helped you out :)
Thanks for the demo. It made the whole exercise so easy.
😁👍
Just needed someone to show me this is possible..
Thank you
