Thanks. My hd599's pads were splitting in the middle from 3 years of every day wear and tear. Got replacements and with this video changing them out was a breeze.
I’ve had my headphones since 2012 and I’ve just bought some new pads for my them. They feel brand new now. And it’s all thanks you this guide for showing me how to replace them. I’m extremely grateful.
thank you for showing how to remove it properly as well. I had to pry out the ring from my earphones because it was stuck, followed your advice to follow clip path made it easier
Hi I just got a set of these HD Ear Pad Replacments, the transfer was a little bit of work. As in your video I started at the top and worked my way down each side until I got to the bottom of the pads. It looked and felt like it was fitted until I slightly peeled back the ear pads. I had to use the tip of a blade screw driver to snap it fully home in a few spots. I also added a new 1.2m cord with 3.5mm angled fitting for my phone instead of that giant adapter & cord. I feel like I have a brand new $295 set of awesome headphones, and so comfortable I'm constantly falling asleep wearing them.
Thankyou very much for share your experience. I have an HD518 and need to change his pads . But I asked direct to senheisser a new kit of pafs and they told me that they don't produce it anymore. Can I use some other pad, from other model ?
My earpads on HD598SE has decayed so much, thank you so much for the blunt equipment to pry open the plastic cover, just purchased genuine replacement ear pads (bought for HD559 as out of stock but still fits), followed your guide and now its working flawlessly so thank you!
Perfect instructions, thank you so much! I almost didn't replace my busted af 7 year old pads because I wasn't confident I could do it without breaking something. Got my new pads on first try without struggling thanks to your guide.
Thanks so much. I’ve somehow managed to get the pads to stay on the headphones but there was still a visible gap beween the plastic of the pad and the earphones. With your guide I managed to fix that and now they are on there like they are supposed to. One side was really easy to fix the other one was quite hard but I managed to get it in the end
Just checked your site and it says they are out of stock sadly. Hopefully more will come in and can get a pair sent to Australia. Mine are on their way out sadly.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, I was clueless on how to proceed to replace the earpads on my Sennheiser HD955 headphones. After watching your demostration I did it very easily, thank you again..
would it be recommended to glue the earcup to the plastic frame for now? Then get replacement ear cups in the future. It doesn't seem possible to put the ear cup back into the frame.
@bobchen9976 I have not done that installation video in years. I used to sell the oadscwithout the rings. You can do it but rusk breaking the rings. If you bought through amazon I would return and reorder. If you glue, it will be in the wrong area, and the sound will be ruined.

Thank you so much for the clear guide and explanation! I got new pads after five years with my previous ones which had been falling apart for a while, and before I looked up a guide, I had no idea what parts were fragments of the old pads and which were supposed to be there in the first place.

But with the knife, I could easily pull the pads off without damaging them. I'm also proud of my seller because the headphone was basically squeaky clean.
