Homestuck has played such a big part in my life since I joined the fandom, and I started this project back in January to say a big thank you to it! Everyone who helped be a part of it did a FANTASTIC job and I hope you all enjoy it!

I had a feeling that it would be a long day...
It feels so surreal to look back at stuff like this so much later. I was so into homestuck back in the day, and forged some great memories, a lot of them a little bittersweet. But fanworks like this still bring a tear to my eye.

I'm actually going to cry.
Just hearing all of their voices, seeing everyone in unison about this entire adventure, it just hits hard. Especially now that Homestuck's ended.
Seeing them standing together as a team just makes you feel things. Hearing all their voices, together, makes you feel things, especially if you grew up with the comic. How it really shows that it came to a close. And just hearing them _united._ How they went through it all together, and even brought us along for the ride too.
Just some memorable parts:

- The Betas' first "let's see how far we've come" in unison
- Sollux's "where'd my sight go?"
- Tavros singing "I believe I need to show them who is boss!"

My favourite moment is still the subtlety of Sollux's voice changing after losing his vision.

Homestuck fanwork will never fail to make me feel i knew and anjoyed something good when it was new. And i still love it ^^
Okay, before I even get to the metaphorical elephant in the room, let me say that without a doubt this song can honestly be compared to that the story of Homestuck itself, since it starts of all upbeat and fuzzy but then we get to more serious matters such as death and sacrifices.
Now for the ending part. Let me tell you, without a part, that it got me way more emotional than what I was expecting. I can't seem to remember if this was a direct line from the comic itself, or just something that just really, *really* fits in with the atmosphere of Homestuck and the part itself, with the piano, presumably being played by John, being the singular instrument and a line that just really hits home. I won't say I did cry, because it was somewhat of a bittersweet ending to the song, since it also means that there is more to come than what we have currently

mj bumagat It took me so long to find this! I wrote the lyrics to try to reflect to plot of Homestuck all the way up to that point--including their happy times all the way to their struggles and deaths. I'm so glad you like it!
Trick brought up this ending idea to play the piano track, which is an OST from the Homestuck track played towards the beginning of HS and I was all for it. And YES! The line is directly from the comic, part of the narration from the flash of the Homestuck Title Screen! We wanted to seem to give the "everything is connected" but that Homestuck isn't over and will continue its course. Thanks so much for your comment! I really enjoyed it, haha.

I saw this on Tumblr and totally sang/cried about this song since 4/13 :D
Homestuck was a HUGE part of my middle school life, and I always laughed at the fact that I was so into homestuck but never actually read the comic. Most my information was through friends and wikis, and I liked it that way. I could never get into the comic itself.
That is, until now. Random homestuck content popped up in my feed, like it does every year because ‘You Can’t Fight The Homestuck’. But I started listening to old parody songs I liked and eventually decided to give the comic one last shot. I’ve gotten farther into the comic than ever before and it’s interesting to see all information I got from friends and wikis slowly start popping up. Over 5 years since I stopped being an active part of the fan base, I finally read the comic for the first time and actually enjoying it finally.
*I feel like a sad "this is how it makes me feel" story but I don't care sooo... Anyway what I'm putting in this isn't at all spoilers because this is just how I feel like the end of Homestuck might happen. This is what the last line John says and the music made me feel like.*
The battle was finally done, but at such a cost. John looked behind him. Jack Noir, Lord English, the Condense... they were finally all defeated. But everyone was dead. Without every single one of his friends, John never would have been able to finish Noir off, but in return John was the only one left. Until he saw Dave move. Hopeful, he ran over to where Dave was lying. But his hope was dashed when he saw the fatal wound in Dave's chest.
"...John... come here. I have... two requests..." Dave coughed, bleeding.
"Dave! Don't try to talk! I'll... fix this somehow! You can't die!!" John cried desperately.
"Stop it, John. I know this is my end. Listen. Can you move me... over there...?" Dave pointed to where Rose, Jade, and Dirk's corpses lay. Nodding and crying a little, John moved Dave in between Dirk and the two girls. Dave reached out feebly and took Dirk's hand on his right, and put his arm under Jade and Rose's head on his left. John sat above him with Dave's head in his lap.
"Dave, you aren't going to die...!" John tried again, but Dave shook his head.
"I have another request... John, tell me *cough* a story."
"Dave..."
"Please?" Dave's sunglasses were shattered and bent, and John could see the light fading from Dave's eyes.
John sniffled and took a deep breath.
"Once upon a time... there were four best friends. They started playing a game. A very hard game. There was one boy in particular, a cool, red eyed 13 year old, who overcame many many hardships. But no mater how difficult it was, he always prevailed. He made strong bonds with lots of other players who he knew he'd stand by till the very end. This red eyed boy and his friends finally came to the last boss battle. Working together, they dealt critical damage to the bosses, but they all received fatal wounds. Except for the red eyed boy's best friend. He... you asked your best friend to tell you a story before you... passed on. The story helped ease you into your final moments and your passing. You knew the next world would have plenty of things you'd need to do in it." John took another deep breath and finished. "You have a feeling it's going to be a long day." When John looked at his friend, he saw that Dave had gone. He had a small smile on his face and an expression that said, "thank you". John carefully laid Dave's head down and got up.
"Dave... everyone... I miss you. But I'll keep going. I have too, or you'd all be mad when I join you. I'll... be seeing you, I guess." With that, John did the windy thing just enough to bury the dead, and flew off to start his next chapter in life. Leaving nothing but memories behind on the battle field... and a feeling of many people and trolls smiling farewell.
