Please make a comparison video of cadet pilot programs of Indigo, Air India, Spicejet, Air Arabia, Qatar & Singapore Airlines. Whatever is available for Indian nationals. Talk about money, what is included and not included, no of attempts, cool off period, which has more competition etc. Golden Epaulettes made a similar video. Would be great to see your take on it. Also what is your opinion on rumours going around of Akasa’s cadet pilot program.

10L/month is 1.2Cr/year which is insanely high a salary in India. Maybe a handful of software engineers ever could earn that much. Even the topmost software engineers cap out at 70-80LPA who are highly skilled and have an experience of say 10 years or so. About 95% of software engineers will never see those numbers. So the salary of a pilot is far better than a software engineer when experience is equated.
have you heard of a thing called income taxes and inflation. Even if the companies pays you 1.2 Cr, you will get only 5.75Lacs per month in account, 36lac will be income tax. Total compensation of 10+ years of experience software engineers is close to 1 Cr. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, DE Shaw, Trading Companies and Startups pay a lot more and these companies give stocks which can blow up and make you a millionaire like Nvidia. Even freshers at Nvidia are worth crores who joined before 2022.
@@Srimudit Even after deducting taxes the salary of a pilot is pretty handsome. How many SDEs you know who get 5.75Lacs/month in hand after deducting taxes? Very few. I don't understand your point on inflation. Inflation affects a pilot and a software engineer equally if they live in the same geography.
Again, most of the software engineers move into other roles like management etc. after 10 years. But even if they stay, how many of them work in Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. to earn that kind of salary? Very few.
Startup companies like Zomato etc. have a small SDE team anyway due to cost cutting and most of the CTC is locked away as ESOPs. ESOPs are risky (especially of a start-up) and are not given to you right-away. A CTC of 1Cr. can actually mean 40LPA in-hand. Now, a 40LPA in-hand is a good salary and comparable to a pilot's salary but, since the team is small, very few get this kind of salary.
Even in Nvidia not all could benefit from the stock rise. Some must have sold the stocks before it blow up and some must have not receive enough stocks since they were new to the company. And many of them would not have been offered ESOPs to begin with.
So, my only point is that if 7/10 pilots earn 5.75Lacs/month (after taxes), only 1/10 software engineers earn 5.75Lacs/month (after taxes). Per capita bases, pilots earn way more than SDEs in India.

Ppl employed after grad (engineering, commerce, bsc,bba,barch,commerce) is not more than 3LPA.
Or even professional courses are not paid dat much.
More than 95% of indians don't even get paid above the basic exemption limit.

But one can upgrade to wide body aircraft, join foreign airlines/ cargo operators or become a management pilot to increase their salary. For example there is Capt Rajiv Bhalla & Capt Ashim Mittra in Indigo.

He'll be sayiing so many things they earn this and that but in reality he's earning via his flight academy looting students in the name of computer number charging 18'000 each student just for computer number and the fees is in lakhs for months and it's ok to charge money if you provide that kind of quality while you are taking the admission his family will convince your parents so much that your kid is our responsibility and now he\her is our kid and then after 1 month they'll be like we don't know you even if you're one day late of paying the fees they'll call you out in front of the whole class which consists of more than 80 90 students sometimes even 100

70lpa corresponds to 3.6 lac per month. Can live a comfortable life in a tier 1 city with family but don’t expect to make a fortune out of it. Just OK. Nothing fancy.

Simple check to know that you will enjoy your piloting career is take a 2 stop flight in India if you are able to handle the mental stress after this flights, and would be able to again do this 2 times takeoff and landing on same day then think of becoming pilot, as pilots need to do 3-4 sectors everyday. Don't just look at the high salary. There's a reason why pilot career is in top 5 most stressful jobs in the world....

You can start the flight training after 12th class. The eligibility requirement is that you must have passed 12th class with maths and physics. (Students who don't have maths and physics must complete them from open school, NIOS.)

How to get a scholarship for becoming a pilot? Are there any in India? Please revert
some places it’s said that the minimum age to become a commercial pilot with an airline the age requirement of minimum 21 years. is this true/is this followed in India?

After you have finished your service in the Air Force, (short service commission can be 14 years) you can convert the military pilot certificate to a commercial pilot license (CPL). Flight schools have a conversion program for that purpose.

@@legendaryviperyt8995 You can't leave immediately after you have received flight training in the Air Force. You have to serve in the Air Force a certain time period which is required. For example, through the AFCAT exam it is possible to take a short service commission which is 14 years. The eligibility requirement for the AFCAT exam is that you have passed 12th class with a minimum of 50% marks each in maths and physics and you also must have at least a 3 year university degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent. The age limit for the flying branch is between 20 - 24 years.

If in class 2 medicals if you get temporary unfit can we do treatment and retry for class 2 medicals again??
If the reason is a temporary illness that does not prevent you to become a pilot in the future when your health is good again, you can retake the Class 2 medical examination when you have fully recovered.
