Thank you for posting this. Jan Clayton was my grandmother, I appreciate you keeping her memory alive.
There was such a beautiful sweetness in Her smile. I hope you have some nice memories of Her.
@@jimh4005 unfortunately, I never met her. She passed away before I was born. But I do get to see her in the films and shows she was on.
@@avigenuth4395 Thank you for taking the time to reply. When I was a young boy I loved the character She played on "Lassie." Additionally, She had a lovely singing voice. I was sorry to learn that She had lost a young daughter. I believe it was in the 50's.
Hi there. I just finished watching Sunset Trail ( Hopalong Cassidy) and your grand mother was featured singing “A Cowgirl Dreams On”. What a lovely, talented singing voice she had !!! I fell in love with the haunting song and I desperately want to get her recording of this song ! Are you able to point me in the right direction to obtain this ? By the way, do you also sing ? Wouldn’t that be too cool to sing this well❤ Thanks-Donna
@@donna6193 unfortunately I don’t have access to that recording. I did inherit my grandmother’s singing abilities, to a much lesser degree. I will definitely consider doing a rendition.
The WHERE'S RAY" show mentioned starred Ray Bolger (the Scarecrow from Wizard of Oz) in a weekly show in the 1950s. It has absolutely NOTHING TO DO with " EVERY BODY LOVES RAY" which post dates the Bolger show by at least 40 years. Presenting "history" even when dealing with a poorly made biography should be held to a high standard, or at least accurate.
She actually did very well in her older age. She was in FOLLIES on Broadway and received a great salary, lived in a nice New York apartment, and had a lot of friends. I saw her a lot.
One of the most gorgeous women ever. Very underrated as an actress, so talented. She is the sole reason I watched Lassie, so hot. I loved how she was so smart in the show and out smarted her son and Father in law to get what she wants. I would've done anything for this Lady. She was taken away to soon. RIP my Love, thanks you for your presence.
She was a good actress and person. Rip.
Her greatest legacy is her children and grandchildren--any mother will definitely agree.
Jan Clayton was a fine actress and a fine lady rest in peace❤✌️
Jan Clayton was replaced by June Lockhart from lost in space
Why the hell do you think EVERYONE had a sad ending. She also was in two Hopalong Cassidy movies.
Geez, I HATE the way this narrator pronounces the "t" in "Clayton" - by skipping it entirely.
This narrator is unbelievably annoying. I kept hearing her pronouncing Jan’s last name as “Clayun”. Is it only me? Also what Indian tribe is the “Comanch”? I’ve heard of the Comanche. Do this sites editors actually listen to the playback of their of their narrations? I don’t think so. If they do, they should be fired.
I agree learn how to pronounce names and words. Jeez or get someone that can.
It sounds like they only get one chance at recording the narration and the have to go with it mistakes, mispronunciations and all.
Why do I watch so many of these, they are so poorly done.
not everyone's ending is sad.
This is so bad, names not pronounced right ,a big mess as they say, just a quickie.
And they plagiarize Wikipedia word for word....look at her Wikipedia page and you will understand...terrible...
I WANT A RECORDING OF THIS SONG❤❤❤
She actually lived in tulsrosa nm near alamogordo
What does Everyone Loves Raymond have to do with this?
Stupidity..they mixed up the 1954 “Where’s Raymond” sit com
I would watch lassie just to look at her, still attractive in this show.
Quit plagiarizing Wikipedia....word for word..
Couldn't listen. Doesn't Narrator College teach you how to pronounce your "T"s, for the love of pete?
Or, as the narrator would say; "For the love of pee."
She had neck problems. You can see it in almost every picture.
Good Video!
Clay-en. WTF?
I had to stop watching this because of the narrator's inability to pronounce Jan Clayton's name. You hear this stuff all the time now days. Young lady, whoever you are, the T in Clayton is not silent. You say Clay n. That's a misspronunciation. You probably say Manha n for Manhattan, a word with two ts in it. Girls do this for some reason. Its wrong ladies. Stop it.
What a strange pet peeve. I have never noticed anybody doing that before you mentioned it. Now, I will have to try and un-notice it, since I sure don’t need a new pet peeve to add to my collection.
@@maggiebastolla5430 there was a dialect in the 70's called valley girl that you still hear some of today. They would add an "wah" sound to the end of some words like "no wah" etc. Very irritating.
@@clintoncarver1926 What doesn't irritate you?
@@zamyrabyrd a whole lot of shit. Probably much of the same shit that doesn't bother you, why?
@@clintoncarver1926 Because I am concerned with my own mistakes rather than those of others.
Horrible narrator. She can't even pronounce the name of the subject properly - it's Clay-ton, not Clay-un. The narrator seems to have a problem with the letter "T", as I notice she says wri-in, instead of wriTTen. Maybe a robot narrator would be an improvement.
