② Making wooden cup .

① Make a wooden cup from a log. Making Kuksa from Japanese cherry.
Last time was from rough sawing to rough cutting.
After that, it was dried until the moisture content became around 10%.
Since this cup is handled at the shop, we are asked to arrange the capacity.
When you want to align the diameter and the depth, use a profiling lathe.
We cut the inside of the dried material in two turns on a lathe.
If the knife does not cut, reverse eyes will come out so we will sharpen well before working.
The material is a mountain cherry tree that was cut down by the gourmet music of Gumma prefecture.
When you cut the mountain cherry, it smells nice with cherry blossoms.

hi, i'm newbie, can you share some tips for drying a green wood to make some kuksa? maybe you know and can share... and if you know can you tell what the best moisture level for turn it to kuksa and how long it take to dry.. thx before, realy appreciated if you can give me some tips..
