Shit made me tear up. I remember when i thought i was just playin some regular-ass zombie game and this happened. I was like whaa- the hell did i buy ?!
Even though Joel & Tommy weren’t good people, they were still incredible family members. Imagine working 40 hours a week, each day being extremely tired and drained out, but still managing to spend time with your children, just like Joel and Tommy did with Sarah. Soccer games, museums, carnivals. R.I.P. Joel, incredible young father.❤️
It's the story of Joel learning to love again in a world gone to hell, and throws him right into it and has him suffer a tragedy to start that character arc.
Idk if someone is seeing this but it's bare to be said. In the prologue, we see Joel as a normal civilian struggling to find a job for his mortgage and the world is normal with his daughter. Then we see that the world is falling apart and everything is in crumbles. Since COVID hit america and the world, it felt surreal like feeling the world is falling apart and we started to hog up alot of stuffs like toilet paper and waters since we don't know what the situation would be in the future, we don't know if there would be a post-apocalyptic which we almost did from the George Floyd situation. We don't know if the disease was serious or not, we simply don't know. And playing this game after this COVID mess felt so different. Almost feeling scared and this flight or fight, really experiencing how the world is like, maybe not but something like it.
Yeah we really don't know about Joels wife, whether what happened to her was a death or a bad divorce. All we get from Joel was that it was "too much" to talk about.
That's his daughter who dies. This is right at the start of the game, you really didn't play much if you even see this LOL. The girl in thi clip is not the main character in the game, she comes into it later on
I know fool ;) I've played it that far at least lol, but it was a shock... anyone you control as your own feels part of you and the game and to have her killed off so quick was a shock... but a most welcome WOW anything can happen in this game now shock :)
Why does everything have to be happy? I love this game because of the balls it has in doing things that no one wants to touch with a 20 foot pole. It’s gritty, it’s dark, it’s realistic and it’s melancholy. The only thing happy in this game is the ending and even that’s bittersweet because of the cost Joel puts the world in for his decision making. It’s not meant to be a game with a happy ending like Uncharted.
Sarah's whimpers at the end, are so incredibly acted. I choked up.
Apparently Troy Baker and the guy who played Tommy actually legit cried.
I cry every time
"I sell Hardcore drugs." - Sarah, 2001-2013

The best game ever. The opening scene still gets me
the pure tension when you're running away and you're unsure who is or isn't a zombie goddamn this is intense when you're high
Simply one of the best games ever made. I get a shiver every goddamn time...

Don’t forget Sarah :(
Troy Baker is a talent! The documentary "Grounded" goes into detail on how much the Sarah's death scene took out of him
I was only in the prologue and I already cried
Everything about this prologue is gut-wreching. Everyone's performance was out of the park, even the soldier who hesitated in shooting Joel and Sarah.
At this point I wished there is no Part 2
The 6 dislikes are from the 6 executed fireflies.
Thanks to RUclips, those fireflies seem to be alive.
One of the most powerful openings in gaming history
This was the best game I ever played and It was my only ps3 game. I am an xbox guy so had more games on my 360
Before Abby, before golf clubs.
@some dude’s comment What's tf is the problem with LGBTQ?
@Tom Hardy’s Venom is in Spider-Man: No Way Home we are here to cry about someone’s death not cause of this
After watching some sad scenes for too many times, I now for some reason smile. Why?
This prologue should be a try not to get goosebumps challenge.
Congrats for 2k
The opening of the game still gets me
Rip Doggo

Joel Shoots Jimmy and Tommy Drives to Horizon Hills
Hell yes. No subtitles. Thank you for not ruining the amazingness. 😍
Anyone else came here when the last of us part 2 came out?
I still haven't finished the first but I'm looking forward to it. When I get a new PS4
I'd actually like to see a comic about Joel's happy times with Sarah.
The best game ever
Is it just me or is it that everytime i watch this video i get chills. Best game ever next to metal gear
Me cried at the end
Where is the national guard when you need them
This will be the last time you’ll ever see a functioning city
There seems to be a lot of chairs in the house for two people
Dude. You have a problem with chairs, bro?
Why is this guy hating on chairs?
Gotta sits all the bros down when Sarah is thrashing out drug deals
It is chilling
Can anyone tell me where to find the soundtrack for when Joel shoots the neighbour? I must know because it’s just too good.
Imagine this coronavirus to be this way
Land Rover Discovery
armies put up roadblocks on the E Ina Rd
i wonder what would've happened if sarah hadn't shot. like why did they have to start of this game with the death of a child
It's the story of Joel learning to love again in a world gone to hell, and throws him right into it and has him suffer a tragedy to start that character arc.
So who’s here from the Coronavirus?
I'm dying, help me
My personal favorite games
