I don’t understand how people don’t know anything about the sun, what it does, and how it affects the earth. What exactly do they teach in public schools?
I know that in a private school in Middle School you are learning the same thing that seniors in CAS (Advanced 4.0+) classes are learning in a public school. So there's that..

Magnetosphere science is typically 4th or 5th grade science. I taught about all of this, and more, every of 12 years teaching 4th grade in California. I made some really vibrant learning materials, the kids LOVED the lesson. ❤ (I also vote Republican)

The current solar cycle began in 2019 and is expected to peak in 2024 or 2025. Some simulations predict that the Sun's northern hemisphere will undergo a polarity reversal between June and November 2024. The Sun was not at this stage in the past, hence why we are seeing strong displays at the moment. This isn't anything new. We know all this and have done for a long time now.
