These videos are amazing! It's like taking a self-serve course on startup education. Their methodology is being transferred into strategy on paper for my company from every video!! I love youtube and these people jesus christ
How I love Greylock guys! Another beautiful usefull information to use everyday. It's really scary just how networks matter to the Ventures. It can particularly be close to impossible to built up a massive startup in an area where networks are very poor. Albeit VC's having access to anyone anywhere, acquiring talent and getting cofounders is flipping hard.
Amazing lecture. One hilarious slide... they listed all the tech companies they knew about that had a $10B or larger market cap and forgot most of them from 2015 when they recorded this: AAPL, MSFT, AMZN, ORCL, SAP, IBM, INTC, QCOM, EBAY, TXN, CSCO, VMW, NVDA and there were probably more
Elizabeth Holmes is mentioned as an upcoming speaker however it appears this talk is hidden/removed from the archived course. I'm curious to know the rationale behind this? Silicon valley ethos is to learn from failures. Making this widely available to be studies helps both entrepreneurs and investors. If you could please make this available I believe it would be net beneficial.
One famous entrepreneur in Russia, where I lived, said the same thing back in 2013. If you make the next Iphone in Russia, you have like 4-6 months to scale it before google, apple, facebook catch up. If you can't scale it, you've lost and it's extremely hard to scale your company if you're outside the US
