I really hope Brown simplifies the offense like how Kingsbury is doing in Washington. I don’t care how it looks as long as Caleb develops and the Bears actually score touchdowns.
I don't know if it has to be simplified. It just has to be not stupid. Basic principles done right... Not necessarily simple because that implies Caleb can't handle it. The issue is the plays are both dumb and predictable. When we run more classic stuff, it works. Get under center, run it, and occasionally play action, roll out, hit some slants. Not exactly simple but get those basics right.
I really enjoyed the segment with Nate Tice. That was very informative and I appreciated his insights into the offense. It's also very apparent that Caleb is playing tentatively. Let him make mistakes, throw some picks, take some chances and shots at big plays and let's get this thing rolling.
He used to work for the falcons and raiders. I think the fact he’s in the media and doesn’t get punished for being wrong is why it looks weird he doesn’t work in the NFL given his credentials. He’s also the son of Mike Tice former NFL coach.
79-88 The Bears not only were competent but they drafted well, coached well, played lights out, and beat the packers all the time. What are you even talking about. I was born 81. I can say this but you sir are full of it. I been a fan since 2004. Lovie was okay but those teams were flash in pan for the most part. Never found their way on offense.
Wasn't for a lack of trying. The big change our buffoon of a head Coach wanted was to move waldron up in the booth. So this was a Poles firing. Just fire eberlose. Man what are we doing here
That’s a reach imo given the evidence we currently have. At least with Tomlin, he had several years as a successful coordinator/position coach in Tampa/Minnesota before taking the Pittsburgh gig.
@Budget-n7o I'm just saying he has been a longtime college and NFL coach in various positions. NOBODY was going to succeed in Carolina last year and you know that. I SAID Mike Tomlin vibes. I DIDN'T say their resumes are identical. Relax.
I believe they are 1000% coaching his creativity out of him and making him scared to throw an INT. Also him being mentored from Brady maybe making him stay in the pocket completely.
If the defense can bring their A+ game, they can rattle Jordan Love. The Packers are far from unbeatable. The offense & Caleb has to get back to scoring 23-30pts. to do it though.
Poles has had as many bad moves as good ones. Claypool, Davis, Velus Jones, not drafting o-line talent, thinking this roster was good enough to draft a punter in the fourth round. He’s been pretty bad overall. Add in not firing Eberflus last year. He’s a guy who has a tough time moving on from poor decisions. Can’t have that mindset as a GM.
When Tice was talking about which receivers were going to block, I just can't help but think a real leader and head coach would be able to get through guys and get them to do their jobs. You think Eberflus was ever a guy to do that? You think Dan Cambell has a problem telling his receivers to do that if they believe in him?
Never been more dejected in my 40 years as a Bears fan, watching my 8 year old go through makes it even more unnerving. I hope the QB makes it. F the Bears
Opposing defenses know the snap count. All they gotta do is wait till there's half a second left on the play clock because THAT'S when the Bears finally snap it!😂😂
Turnover battle should be out the window since we’ve lost the last 2 games in blowout fashion after winning the turnover battle. Flus has lost the locker room
I will die laughing 🤣 if Thomas Brown gets team rolling on offense and the players love him and he becomes HC next year what’s the odds of this Adam or Adam
Absolute coaching malpractice. Glad Waldron is out of the building. Thomas Brown implemented a lot of what Nate is talking about when he took over in Carolina. Bryce looked significantly better and nearly knocked off the Packers in that late season game.
He's sayin it clear...it's the offensive scheme or lack there of. They are ruining CW ! Williams will not become great without great coaching ! Nix is a game manager that simple, team is great around him
@spaceghost8995 and yet they did nothing for 3 years and expected the team to win this year. You cannot win if the OL is trash. Most of the starters were unreliable or backup/replacement level players. And expected them to protect a rookie qb.
Flus. He's responsible for hiring his own staff, which is crazy to think there has now been 8 members of his staff that either resigned or were fired the past 14 months, but yet flus still has a job.

I thought kiran could play LG, Wright could play RG and bates could play center. then, you go and draft/sign 2 new tackles next year.
The competition between rookie QBs is a worthless narrative. Feeding that click-bait conversation shows that you are not serious about the team and more bent towards the QB fan boys who like to pretend that this is any kind of issue for the Bears. It is strictly media fodder and does not help our rookie QB at all. Who cares who is better? It's a team sport.
The Claypool Trade and it's not even close. Come on you actually gave up draft capital a second round one at that. Nate Davis has been in the league it was a free agent signing who actually had talent and upside how was Poles going to predict injuries and a life-changing event like him losing his mother you guys can be inhuman at times mentally and emotionally that type of tragedy can allow someone to totally check out. To me it's always hit or miss when signing a free agent because you don't know the motivation of that player it is not like when you draft a player when you're doing background checks on the kid from as early as his high school days
Davis had the bad reputation coming in for not wanting to practice in Tennessee. Vrable said so, but poles ignored that. Most people gave Davis a pass last year because of the death in family, but not this year. He's a professional. At this point, he's just stealing money
@sophisticatedthoughts...1638 By your reasoning we shouldn't have hired Eric Washington who Vrabel worked with. I would take a former player observation on player that I am signing in free agency. He had all the information and choose to ignore like the offensive line.
