seeing mischa all by herself really made me upset bc i know how hard she worked and she got the least amount of screen time. i really wish jyp just could’ve brought her too
I think he just needed to eliminate someone otherwise the show has no feels since it has very less contestants and it was supposed to be similar to nizi project
Since the show was filmed some time ago, I think they edited it after filming everything, so since they knew Mischa wouldn't make it, they didn't feel like giving her much screen time.
unpopular opinion, but i think it made sense for mischa to not go to korea. she definitely improved and she isn't a bad performer at all, but relative to the rest she was really lacking and it wasn't enough to stand in a group setting or with her own individual effort (at the present! im sure she can do it one day). i think people need to also remove a lot of the emotional parts of a survival show being 'she was one person, they couldve just let her' because it's still a competition. everyone improved immensely, but you cannot tell me that she objectively improved enough to be at the level of what yuna did. she was the only one missing more than one stone, and it was very evident. i do wish her the best, and seeing that she's still posting makes me hopeful that she can stand her ground and achieve her dreams one day!
I agree I think she just wasn’t ready, it didn’t surprise me that she didn’t make it. Also it’s not as easy as just bring her to Korea, all of that costs money for food, travel, boarding, and training. As a company it wouldn’t make sense to do that for someone you don’t think will progress enough in the short time frame
I see your point and I’m not an expert on singing and dancing so I’m sure the company had their reasons for not selecting her I just think the execution was rather cruel. To have her stand up their alone and be the only one, watching all her friends go to Korea. She at the end of the day is a child and they could’ve done it in a nicer way.
Unpopular opinion but I’m not surprised Mischa didn’t make it. Right off the bat she didn’t get a stone during the evaluation until the star quality evaluation which everyone got. Then only got one more during the showcase. I think she has a great future ahead, but honestly speaking at the time of when they were filming she was lacking compared to others.
Camila is seriously giving me Naya Rivera vibes. The way she has such mastery over vocals, dancing, and stage presence just reminds me of the late queen of Glee. May she rest in peace! Overall was very pleased with final performances though. Each individual showed immense growth and honestly made me feel like a month had passed when it was really only a couple days.
if you think about it, Mischa literally ranked 11th out of probably THOUSANDS of girls auditioning for A2K. even thought it’s sad she didn’t make it to the end, it’s still such a huge accomplishment and I rlly hope we get to see her try again
It sucks how Mischa got eliminated, especially since she improved a lot here and definitely would've in Korea too, and I would've loved to see that. If JAYWHYPEE was already planning to bring the other 10, I don't see the point of eliminating 1 person instead of letting them go too. Seeing Mischa on the other side of the stage actually broke me 😭
it's sad but i think sooner or later they will eliminate her too and it would be even sadder to be eliminated at Korea Bootcamp evaluations. I don't think jyp plan to debut a group with too many members. Preferably 5-6 i think is okay especially because their target market will be the western market.
but i agree, it's cruel to be left alone like that, i would rather they all individually got separated and told that decision because being called one by one is so freakng hurts
Mischa got little screen time and throughout the show I was indifferent towards her but in the showcase she really shined and I’m so sad they did her so dirty !!
I think mischa should have came since Melissa decided not to in the end. Once JYP know of Melissa's decision he should have given Mischa a chance to prove herself in Korea. I understand why he didn't choose her but she did so well in the showcase and is more talented/on par with some of the members who got chosen (Kendall, Yuna, Kaylee).
I was wondering about that too! I’m sorry about both girls. I hope they are proud of what they achieved, that they reevaluate their goals and move forward. Mischa was obviously top 11-12 in all of USA and Canada (Camila and Melissa travelled from Canada to audition so it may have been possible for others to do that as well), and that is already a giant accomplishment! Even getting through the preliminary rounds to get to audition before Mr. Park at a regional city is an accomplishment! Mischa had the most striking hairstyle in this episode! I loved what Camila, Cristina and KG were wearing! KG’s blue and orange is one of my favourite colour schemes, and Cristina’s style with the elbow length gloves was so unusual and classy-looking! Camila in warm tones is exactly right for her! I hope all of them make it! When he said that anybody who finishes last twice would be sent home, I got a little bit worried. Are you following Dream Academy? Are they intended to be rivals of A2K? That actually makes a lot of sense because a rivalry will get media attention and fans will pick sides - more than if just one “different” (non-Korean) group debuted. Although they had at least one Korean girl in DA. ❤
Honestly I don’t agree. Just because someone leaves doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s now a spot open for Mischa. I liked Mischa, but she wasn’t ready, and I don’t think it’d be a good idea to bring her along since she’d have to work a lot harder than the others, causing more stress for her.
Yeah but the point of contention isn’t about the number of people going to Korea, as JYP stated that number isn’t fixed. Compared to the top 5 or so girls Mischa was kind of lacking, I think they made the right choice. It’s a survival-esque show, not everyone is gonna pass.
JYPE said that they all could go to Korea, the LA BootCamp wasn't the final selection that's in Korea. I do know she didn't go because she wasn't ready, but many of the others weren't too and still got to go. I feel like she wasn't promoted or shown enough in the show which gives us the impression that she terrible. But she's much better than we thought, her final performance out did many of the contestants who got to go, She could have gotten ready in Korea.@@Airitzu
My ranking would have been something like this (keeping the top 4): 1. Camila 2. Gina 3. Christina 4. Savanna 5. Kaylee 6. Lexi 7. Kendall 8. KG 9. Yuna 10. Mischa 11. Melissa About Mischa: JYP mentioned in most episodes how he's looking for potentials and judges a lot based on improvement. I believe he should have gave her a chance because Mischa definitely improved and had such little time to do so. About Melissa: she's amazing and so talented however she definitely has a soloist vibe. I can't really see how she could be a team member, she has such a strong identity already as an artist.
That is an interesting perspective on Melissa. I did not have the impression that she was not the best in a team environment but I also have very little experience with K-pop as I am a new fan. Certainly, you know more than I do! I think she has a bright future in whatever she chooses to do. I couldn’t believe it when she sang that song about her feelings about her absentee-ish father who doesn’t want the rest of his family to find out she exists. The maturity required to deal with such heavy emotions, to process them at AGE 13, to write a song, and to be able to perform it is really amazing. With this inner strength, self-love, and positive attitude, she will go far in everything she wants to do whether it’s entertainment or aeronautic engineering or stay at home mom, or a combination of all of them!
@@Zukamora She's so good. I prefer vocal-dance skills rather than performance and personality that's why I chose others beforehand. I ranked them based on the bootcamp episodes. BUT OH MY GOSH! Honestly JYP does have a point on the contestants who are qualified to go to Korea. I didn’t really expect him to only eliminate one person. I could tell that not many of the contestants’ vocal skills were stable enough because the autotune kinda messes them up. Overall, I was impressed with some of their dancing skills and their facial expressions. I can’t wait to find out the official debut group members once their done with this show.

Yuna - She shined the most in her group and her dancing improved a lot, but no hard vocal parts 4. Gina - Singing and dancing were both good, could improve stage presence 5. Kaylee - Very stable 6. Yup, standards for this show was extremely low compared to sixteen. Most of them wouldn’t even have made it, maybe only Camilla would’ve made it if he judged them like he did in Sixteen. Mischa is the worse out of the bunch and although they did her dirty with the screen time, she didn’t really show any drastic improvement considering she had long time skips.
@@pix1943 the bar changed and i think the watchers didn't keep up with it. in the beginning you just had to have potencial, but in the final presentation you need improvement (in a short amount of time, especially) and mischa was left behind because of this. some people say that with training she could get better and this is clearly true, but just how jyp said, in that moment, she wasn't ready

Too bad she dropped out, I don't really like KG's vocal that much and it's just KG and Kaylee who are exceptionally good at vocals. Yuna looked more confident and improved but the group wouldn't be 'lost' without her.

for the be my baby team, the reason christina didn't rap and kg did was because of the stones they needed, christina needing the vocal stone and kg needing the blue one (i forgot the name i js know it was about that one defining factor that made her unique)

Thank you for the video! Are you also following Dream Academy? I hope all of the A2K girls make it into the final group! I felt a little bit concerned when he said that anybody who finishes last twice will be sent home. ❤
Greattt
Im starting to this these weren't just random people who auditioned and passed cause Camila was in an BTS MV
And yuna was scouted at a dance competition lol
30k views and 800 likes is crazyyy - people forget to like 😭😭
I feel so bad for Mischa… Imagine someone gets picked over you for an opportunity that you wanted SO BADLY, and then they just give up on it and quit… I respect Melissa’s decision but that really sucks for Mischa cuz maybe she could’ve gone :(
melissa leaving has nothing to do with mischa dont be a dumbass
if jyp thought mischa deserved to go then he wouldve let her. melissa is completely irrelevant here.
2:06 i dont understand
i think you guys on the comments don't understand that this is a competition and jyp was already way to generous with them, because they're mostly pretty bad. if you saw sixteen you'll see how brutal realitys can be. and he was not cruel with mischa neither, she didn't improve as much and wasn't ready, so she lost, that's it. they need talent to pass not pitty, yall are just too emotional
Mellisa why not to going korea she was quit??? Or guest jyp???
According to some sources, she backed out even before getting their permit to go and train in Korea due to personal reasons. She just released her single on spotify and is now active on IG.
@@benedettaaaaa_ family reason I know right when I think hope she plan going to solo pop debut songs same here career to jeon somi in the fast forward.
멜리사는 왜 한국에 가지 않고 그만뒀나요??? 아니면 게스트 jyp???
she quit

Why u hate Kendall so much? She wasn't auto tuned
It was absolutely brutal for 10 of 11 to go, I feel so bad for Mishca. I honestly thought JYP was going to pull a YG BABYMONSTER move or a Momo move and be like "JK Mishca! You're going too!" But it wasn't. It was so heartbreaking. I'm filled with so much rage for Mishca. The group wouldn't end up much different if Cristina, Yuna and Kendall (maybe) didn't pass, but it can't be changed. I thought Camila slayed, Gina slayed, Cristina sucked a vocals, Savannah slayed, Kendall could've done better, Lexus could be better at vocals, Kaylee slayed, KG improved dance, Melissa sucked at dance, but her vocals make up for it. Too bad she dropped out, I don't really like KG's vocal that much and it's just KG and Kaylee who are exceptionally good at vocals. Yuna looked more confident and improved but the group wouldn't be 'lost' without her.
Melissa dropped out?
THIS TAKE IS ON POINT
Mischa only had 1 stone remember. She didn't have a drastic improvement compared to the others, her skill level is still way waaaay far from the others. JYP just saved her from further embarrassment and future haters, and i think that's a good thing
@@koherinnI disagree, mischa was definitely better in dance and vocal abilities compared to yuna, savannah, melissa etc
@@tsuyuasui7297 nahhh she might be better at contemporary dance, but that style consists of exaggerated quick moves and it always shows on her dancing. too much energy and lack of control. melissa is way better at vocals, savanna is way better at dance and has strong gymnastic foundation, idk what you mean by etc but everyone else has better techniques and/or charisma than her. her equal one could be yuna but yuna has the kpop idol vibe in her compared to mischa which was probably the main reason why she got in

I’m really not suprised Mischa didn’t make it..she didn’t really stand out to me either🤷🏽♀️Yuna deserved it she put her all and worked hard..
Chile....go look at the korea bootcamp episodes and you'll convinced otherwise
i agree that mischa shouldnt have been eliminated by herself. she was probably thinking that it was a mistake shed been chosen to be there, and i HATE that they edited her out of most of the show especially considering she never did bad at all. her improvement was stellar, and she was doing on par with other contestants in my opinion.
I think mischa should have definately been able to go to korea, because even tho she lacks compared to the other members jyp's main focus was improvement, because he knows they can train under the kpop system when they go to korea. He knows their full potential can be brought when they train properly, just as its shown in the latest episode of the other members in korea. Mischa improved alot maybe even alot more than some of the other members she was lacking quite abit but on the last stage her vocals were great and her dance was contolled and smooth she also gave a beautiful amount of emotion she was amazing i hope to see her in the kpop path soon ❤
Melissa's dancing skill is so bad that I think it would take years to fit into group settings. She's lucky her vocals are too superior to ignore.
Didnt she quit last episode?
Nah, I just think she was very stiff that's all.
I love how u kept praising Cristina not even saying she wasnt fitting but immediately when it came to KG u said "she wasnt fitting, the rap was mid" etc etc

i dislike yuna personality, for me she the actual pick me :/
