this one hit me very hard. i've been struggling with anxiety since i was 12, and school was hell. people always picked on me for being quiet, they called me mute. even one of my teachers would humiliate me in front of the class, one time i went to the bathroom and just cried. i had no friends, i felt so alone, suicidal several times. i would eat my lunch in the bathroom because i was too scared to sit with anyone because i thought they all hated me and wanted me to go away. my anxiety used to be so bad i couldn't even order my own food at a restaurant, my family would get annoyed at me for asking them to order for me. used to stay up all night because i couldn't stop thinking. still sometimes do. the worst part about anxiety is how a lot of society doesn't understand it. you really feel alone and like the world is against you. i hope people grasp an understanding of not only this but all mental obstacles. because it's really hard.

I’ve gone through anxiety ever since I was 6. I’ve been so lucky my friends are there for me. I’m scared to tell my mother, because I’m afraid she won’t believe me. It makes it even worse because I want to go to the law magnet, which means I have to talk. The anxiety is going to be REALLLLLL then.
My mum says it's because I'm busy looking for things on the internet. I keep suggesting I might have ADHD but everyone refuses saying idk how to prioritize. But she knows I have depression
I am not gonna self diagnose, but the thing called stress anxiety is like me whenever i have a lot to think of and know im not gonna be able to complete them all
My mom does that to me, she belittles me for it and thinks that when I'm talking to her that something new happened she thinks I'm talking about me being anxious
The last part of the video was very important for those who suffer anxiety, we need to understand that the healing process takes its time, is non-linear and is gradual. Patience is the key.
Well with anxiety I have it sometimes and talking to people while having anxiety is super hard cause you may feel sad, mad or even scared. And it’s weird cause this is how i act when I have some pretty bad anxiety.
Nobody should be shamed for having anxiety . Everyone deserves to be treated right. 💗 Don’t let people get to you, or even bully you. You are beautiful souls!
0:11 This is called “The Imaginary Audience” And almost everyone with anxiety has it. You feel like everyone is silently, but loudly judging you. And almost everyone who doesn’t have anxiety and has this, deals with it in different ways: Bullying; Ignoring; And getting into fights is common. It’s super common, and anxiety shouldn’t be taken as a joke; or not seriously.
Yes anxiety is REAL. I totally understand what she’s going through because I despise large crowds and gatherings too. Good thing the mom understood what her daughter was going through from her own experiences
Sometimes parents go like: "then how was there not much anxiety when we were kids" they don't understand that this generation *people are more evil, cruel and points out EVERYTHING* So anxiety exists more in this generation.
my mom literally took me out of school the other day for a mental health day, i ligit forgot i had anxiety that day because i wasn’t stressed about kids and school. sometimes we just need days to ourselves

I have struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember. In fact, I don't remember a time when I wasn't anxious. I wish things like meditating worked for me, but I have to rely on medication to get me through the days. The last time I tried to meditate, I had a panic attack. I wasn't diagnosed with anxiety until I was 21. Getting diagnosed, medicated, and seeing a therapist has completely changed who I am!
As a person who has social anxiety i go through this so often ,feeling people are laughing at me for every mistake i think it make will embarrass me and when i tell my parents they are the same they just dont get it..
Same. I always feel like people are talking about me and judging my every move and breath and my mom sorta tries getting it but when I refuse to go out she calls me lazy and stuff.
This is really sad and my friend used to have depression and anxiety, so this brings me back to those horrible memories. I wish that people would not make fun of people with these problems, as they are very serious. Some parents do not recognise these, and if any of you recognise that they have these, please, at least try to talk it out with them, its the least you could do. When I go outside, it feels like people are silently judging me. Why? Why do I feel like that?
yeah and some parents say "ItS bEcAuSe oF yOuR pHoNe" well axious people actually feel more comfortable talking online since you can be you without exposing your real self.
Ive talk to my dad about my anxiety before, I was expecting him to understand me but instead he blamed it on my phone and told me that therapists are waste of money. I wish they would just understand the point of view of teenagers nowdays.
Why is it funny when someone has anxiety like just leave them alone everyone has been through the feeling of being shy and if you havent then good for you. Just because you havent been shy before doesnt mean you can go picking on others. Edit: Thx for the likes guys it nice to see the helping community online.

Not to mention that anxiety, unfortunately, doesn’t always involve shaking and sweating. Sometimes it really is hard to see. So sad that so many parents don’t always realize it til it’s too late or almost too late. Always ask for help when you need it😇
I have anxiety and have only had a panic attack like twice in my life. Most of the time, I just feel like I don’t wanna go out and do anything, like I would rather be in bed all day.

It is not easy for people who have social anxiety, i got it when i turned 12 and since then felt uncomfortable to communicate with the other people. I was always picked on for begin quite and caring so much what others think. I was scared to make new friends and never knew how to get into conversation without making it awkward. I thought this all happen cause i was shy but anxiety is a part of shyness. Now that I’m about to start in college I’m a little better. But when i remember all the times i cried and overthought i seriously wanted to die. This video is so based on a true story, and people who have anxiety i wanna let u know that it will be over after time. As much as u grow up and turn get confidence u will feel better. ❤
I suffer with bad anxiety, I have panic attacks all the time and I’m always scared of everything, barely able to sleep at night. This awareness needs to be spread, anxiety is real.
DONT treat ur kids with anxiety like that. It’s extremely disrespectful and makes them feel like nobody is able to help them with the anxiety. Anxiety isn’t something u can control, nor something u can cure. Never treat someone like this.
I agree it makes you feel so much worse because then you start worrying that if you tell somebody and don't keep to yourself then you think that is how everyone would react to you telling them and it would make it so much harder. But this is not the case, tell someone who you know you can trust and are close to and they can help you get through it. You are never alone 🙂
@@potatochip868 it's atrocious. My parents used to treat me like this. Well. Not to this level, but. But then when I told them why I had it at 6 years old and why I suddenly hated school. Found out it was caused by my 1st grade teacher. And how she treated me just because I have autism and acted and thought and learned differently. So she started singling me out. And I hated it. It festered into anxiety in my childhood and only got worse in my teens. I still struggle with it in adult hood. Thank God my husband is there and knows the signs of when I need to leave a crowded or loud area.
Things Parents Need to Teach Children: 1. How to Control Your Emotions 2. How to Ignore What Others Think 3. How to Communicate Issues You Have Part of the reason why kids are getting so anxious compared to previous generations is that people didn't have social media, they weren't corrupted by modern-day science telling them that they're depressed, and that they are inferior, and they were more open to just speaking about things. People weren't used to keeping secrets. As a 12-Year-Old, I would honestly rather live in a world without social media, than a world where people couldn't talk with each other.
@@praneethmashetty591 Have you had anxiety? If not, then do NOT speak for people who have anxiety. I’ve had anxiety since 2019, which got way worse in 2020 and this year, and let me tell you, social media isn’t causing it. It’s mainly COVID. I’ve barely had any social interaction with anyone new since I’ve been online in school all year, so even making eye contact with new people is incredibly hard. Also, it has *always* been hard for people to open up about anxiety. It doesn’t matter what generation. People have kept secrets for a long time, too. I have no idea what you’re talking about there. And it’s not easy to ignore what others think for many people. They’re scared of saying something offensive, or scared that someone will laugh at them. And also, not everyone is an extrovert (open about their feelings). I am an introvert, which makes it hard for me to open up about my feelings. Doesn’t matter what my parents taught me. They can’t just say “Stop being so introverted!” that’s going to make it even harder for me to open up. Communication, ignoring people, and controlling emotions are very hard for me, and many, many other teens. Also, there are other things causing anxiety. Bullying, depression, and school are main factors. My mom had anxiety when she was a teen, and was there social media back then? No. Only TV. My older sister also has anxiety, and it’s caused by real life issues, not social media. And social media isn’t all that bad, and has actually helped me a bunch. I have people on there I feel like I can talk to easier than in real life. It’s easier to express my feelings there. Many other teens are the same. Social media is also literally the only thing keeping some teens alive. Life may be easy for you right now because you’re a kid, but when you get into middle school and high school……you’re going to go through a lot. I’m in middle school at the moment, which is harder than elementary, and I’ve heard that high school is the worst for kids. Do me a favor and enjoy your childhood while you still can, life as an adult and teenager is so much harder. And again, please don’t speak for the people who have anxiety until/if you experience it yourself, and/or you have studied it. Have a nice day!

I have anxiety
Things Parents Need to Teach Children:
1. How to Control Your Emotions
2. How to Ignore What Others Think
3. How to Communicate Issues You Have
Part of the reason why kids are getting so anxious compared to previous generations is that people didn't have social media, they weren't corrupted by modern-day science telling them that they're depressed, and that they are inferior, and they were more open to just speaking about things. People weren't used to keeping secrets. As a 12-Year-Old, I would honestly rather live in a world without social media, than a world where people couldn't talk with each other.
Do you have a massive forehead?
@@praneethmashetty591 You took the words right out of my mouth.
