This happened to my mom. She was paralyzed waist down in the navy…. She had a 50% chance to live to fix her legs… she’s here now. She has also survived seven back surgery’s. She’s an amazing and strong woman. Also salute to any veterans out there

Indeed his mother's fault for not focusing on the road completely yet that's not what causes the accident, its the truck who rammed onto them from the passanger's side due to the sleepiness.
It surprises me that Theo didn't blame his mother at all even the slightest bit, often I see blaming out of frustration. It's refreshing to see such healthy bond of family.

I think we need more inspiration on these driving, teens and similar videos. Related to high school health and laws on the road with peers, like how they show us “every 15 seconds” on drinking and driving or distraction with texting

This is crazy ! I came across this, 2020 I got into a car accident and flew threw the windshield ! The medical team told me I wouldn’t be able to walk again, learned how to walk all over again & I’m blessed to say I’m able to walk this earth today gods plan 🤍

My uncle has experienced the same, but as a racing driver myself I can say that cars are getting very safe nowadays and risk of injury is very rare.
Are they like rules?
I have seen in the 90s many racers don't use to wear helmets that caused lots of people to getting their head injured

I love how he’s a fighter and growing into a man in possibly the toughest time of his life, and his mothers love to be strong for him is what is love. The truck hit and run is disgusting and God still took care of them in the end, God is good.

Most of some people won't realize how hard being paralyzed might be, being stripped of your hobby and what you do must be tough and not being able to do what you love because of being paralyzed. Its like never playing a sport or a game ever again. For the people that might have gone through something the same as this video, I feel bad for them and I just hope you if you went through this, I hope you are okay.

I was once hospitalized ( Nov 2021 ) and couldn’t walk. Went on to take 1st at districts in March 2022, 2nd at regionals where I then qualified and made the national team and came in 2nd. This is all for gymnastics btw ❤ It’s possible ❤

What a very great inspiring story! "When there's a will, there's a way." Everybody shouldn't give up on their dreams just due unfortunate circumstances such as car crashes that make people paralyze. If you work really hard, you can overcome any obstacles that dares to stand in your way from achieving your dreams.

Like, I once wanted to be a musician, but I realized some short years ago, it was not to be. Writing may be a dream not meant for me to fulfill, but new dreams came to me that may very likely be meant to be.

You do got a point. She was constantly not looking at the road, and even if the truck was at fault, if was not on a device, her eyes could have been on the road, and if she could safely swerve to get away from the truck. If she could not swerve safely to get away from truck, at least she partly at fault would not be at fault due to not having been distracted.
Myself, I will pull over safely if I had to take a call then and there. Otherwise, it waits. I know even speaker is not fool proof.
