one more thing, what is the purpose of the file: visual c2005...etc? will this folder pose a problem with the installation of mod graphic if I want to install one?
visual c is the codebase the game uses to function properly. being that gta 4 is an older game i included the 2005 VC file just to assist if you encounter crashing or other issues this may help if the issue is due to not having the older version of vc installed. in short it is possible that everything will work fine without it. i installed it just in case but older game use older versions of this codebase, you may notice when installing games from steam you see a message under the install bar saying installing VC for first time start up, it then installs whatever version of the vc is needed to run the game in question. gta 4 used vc 2005 as vc 2008 was not out when the game was in dev. the game using my files is downgraded to 1040 and was released in 2008 at some point so vc 2005 is the version needed for this game. later updates may need vc 2008 or later, but im afraid im the wrong person to ask about that part. about the mods yes and no. yes you need it if you want the game to work right but no the mods themselves do not need vc those work with the game engine and the engine needs vc so they only use vc by proxy.
thx for uploading the new contents on the link :)
